I probably should've done this before, but I've decided to write design documents for all the games I've been dreaming of, including the ones I'm not ready to make. Just in case, it comes to a point where I can no longer work on gamedev stuff, even as a hobby, then maybe someone else can make those games a reality, if I can't.
I'm not quitting gamedev. It's just that my life has had many hard turns, as with many people in my age bracket (and you could probably know why), and I had to accept that a such a change in my life could happened that would force me to stop for good. If that event ever happens (unless I die unexpectedly), I will publish all my design docs under the public domain.
But besides that, I think it's important to write your ideas down instead of letting them gel in your head. I have a habit of doing that, but that's mostly because growing up I had fears of people reading private things I write.
