it’d be cool if more fediverse administrators didn’t just block entire instances wantonly because some user had an opinion they disagreed with. we’re (springbo.cc) blocked from a good many instances for no official reason given and with no communication or attempts at mediation made. it’s cool as the fediverse grows and decentralizes, and single user instances out be able to operate freely—but kinda messed up how admins will dictate what large swaths of their users are able to see or interact with. guess Aristotle was right in believing that only certain classes of people had souls of enough caliber to lead responsibly…shortage of philosopher kings out there.

Part of why I hate modern climate change discourse is crap like this.

For context, the "Green New Deal" is only around 10% environmental regulations, with the other 90% being progressive economic stuff, racial justice stuff, and other things unrelated to climate change.

And then they have the audacity to act like opposition to the Green New Deal means you're opposed to fighting climate change. Just really disingenuous stuff.

I hate these nationalist-adjacent statements from the right about honoring America. We're not obligated to honor and respect the country. We should only do so if we like the country and think it's on the right path.

The #USA has been on an AWFUL path for the past five years, at least! The country continually gets worse and worse. At what point does the nation get bad enough for the right to say "I don't want to affirm and worship this state anymore"? The line isn't clear.

Man this nation could legislate that all straight white men be hunted and killed and these right wingers would STILL rage if some douche doesn't stand or whatever for the American flag.

Ive been shaving for a few years now, and none of these bitch ass mfs have told me how to shave under my lip without cutting it. Never.

“Just shave upwards” THERES NO ROOM TO! The upper lip is too soft and narrow to do that, leading to cuts every time. I can just shave downward, but then theres still most of the hair I missed leaving a constant patch of visible but nearly nonexistent mustache.
