Seems like they're planning on yet another scamdemic next year.
Looking at the participating countries + the "an epidemic located in one part of the world" and "affecting children and young people" parts, it looks like the next one is going to be an Africa-exclusive again (Ebola 2.0?).

I still remember last year's Event 201 (or a similar event at least) which had specifically European countries + Saudi Arabia + one other participating, a few months later they announced the monkeyfraud scamdemic that was exclusive to the west.

@digdeeper Also reminder to pay attention to these table-top exercises and expose these frauds before they happen.

I just saw that the elites did another Event 201 in October this year: https://www.centerforhealthsecurity.org/our-work/exercises/2022-catastrophic-contagion/index.html

>The exercise simulated a series of WHO emergency health advisory board meetings addressing a fictional pandemic set in the near future. Participants grappled with how to respond to an epidemic located in one part of the world that then spread rapidly, becoming a pandemic with a higher fatality rate than COVID-19 and disproportionately affecting children and young people.

Will they soon release the resurrected Spanish Flu or what?

@ArdainianRight I think that 2020 is a whole new era. I did live through 9/11 and remember how things were before it, and 2001-2020 was an era that began and ended. Now we're living in the COVID dimension.

This is how many lines of code it takes to create a sprite with a transparent background in SFML.

So I finally got one of the rarest and weirdest pc98 family machines, the NEC APC III. It's a localized PC-9801f for the anglosphere, with the PC codepage instead of a kanji ROM, ttl video I need to find out how to adapt, and a us layout keyboard with the same switches as the early pc98 keyboards.

There's unfortunately some battery corrosion that seeped into the 8087 socket but these things are so rare it's worth trying to fix and repair. I might end up letting someone else finish the cleanup work if the video out works on here. There's no beep but I heard the pi-po sound didn't come until the 9801VX.

On a related note, here's the APC III keyboard next to the final pc98 keyboard layout used in the windows era rubber dome keyboards. The keyboard layout didn't change too much from the early 9801 boards (see wiki pic), while the APC III has 12 function keys and keys removed/moved around (likely sharing similar scan codes) from both.

The keyboard uses the infamous linear NEC switches that when stored in the high humidity of Japan tend to break down and quit working.

@PhenomX6 @Mr_NutterButter yeah I feel like tracking your kids to make sure they come home on time or whatever is a breach of trust and respect. You can't do that kind of stuff to your kids and expect them to be forthcoming and respectful towards you. Usually that kind of thing doesn't come out of the blue though, it's been building up their entire childhood.

Plus, yeah, I don't want some sort of issue where someone hacks the app and uses its data to find out where my kid is or something. I can't be all for privacy/security while giving my child none.

Playing with a very cool new app that automatically creates subtitles from the audio on your computer (or microphone input). The best part: It's fully local and works offline!
