After downloading a million 15 year old abandonware windows-only applications I was able to port the city scanner from HL2 to HL1 with near-zero loss in fidelity (just minor changes in the skeleton). Based on what I've read, this is a good estimate of the plume in a conservative worst case scenario (overestimating). This is bad, but its not end of the world bad. Its also not Chernobyl bad. You may see knock on effects in some areas downstream per water, but this isn't the supermassive disaster people are on about.

If you're arguing with someone (inb4 you shouldn't be) about some issue, odds are it's much better they take the time to understand your position rather than have you jump down their throat to respond in minutes.
Someone sends you a video, or a long paper? Maybe it takes a busy person a week to get back to you with a real, thoughtful response.
