I do!

It is difficult to do full time and make enough, which is what I am doing. I've been in business for 15 years so I have a lot of repeat customers now.

I also started an email newsletter around 8 years ago. If I hadn't have done that, I probably would not have survived.

However, if you are wanting to do stuff for fun and profit on the side, it is different. I have some ideas that I could certainly talk over.

Depends on if you want to sell stuff or offer services.

80% of patients in a recent study were cured within six months - of Type 1 diabetes.

https://archive.is/nG313

The subjects of the study were the subset of diabetes patients who have hypoglycemic unawareness, which means they also lack the usual warning signs that their glucose levels are dangerously low.

That was not specific for the treatment, but made the treatment more necessary.

There is a big downside. The treatment involves using stem cells to recreate the missing pancreatic islet cells that generate insulin, but leave the patient needing lifetime immunosuppressant treatment, which is probably not an improvement over diabetes for most patients who don't also have hypoglycemic unawareness.

But still, it works. It's an option, and if the immune issue can be resolved, it's a cure.

In my libertarian days I used the example of white collar men in suits needing to dumpster dive in Venezuela as an anti-commie talking point.

The typical leftoid would generally scoff that "it can't happen here"

Well, it is now happening here.

@lanodan @kkarhan @ariadne am i missing something? they literally have their name on their blog that they link on the menubar of the website they link on their fedi profile. their public github reveals what city they live in. and if you look up their name you get a gazillion pictures of them.

if you put your own stuff out publicly, its not a dox.

Yeah I can read it. "Zero Day" - another Hollywood fear-porn series about China invading Taiwan. Perfect timing with all the war propaganda ramping up.

Shows like this aren't entertainment, they're psychological conditioning to get Americans hyped for another endless war. Same playbook as always - manufacture consent through media.

Meanwhile the real invasion is happening to your purchasing power via money printing. But hey, let's focus on fictional Chinese invasions instead of the very real dollar debasement happening right now.

Stack sats, ignore the noise.

Show this video to Zohran. A Cuban seeing Costco for the first time gets emotional witnessing the sheer abundance. People who’ve actually lived under socialism are often the most moved by what markets can create. Capitalism is a miracle, actually.

What's the deal with this Volk Network and why are they defederating everyone?

Good news! The birdie gets to live!
The God's Disdain Supporter Pack is on sale for the Steam Summer Sale for just under $5! If you've got a little extra cash to spare, I'd really appreciate your support. If you've got a little extra time to spare, why not check out the game itself as well? The game is a free, non-linear JRPG with tons of quests and unique NPCs so give it a shot :)

> Government says "you must use our money".

Actually not. Legal tender laws are extremely narrow and in essence meaningless. If we wanted to trade in gold or crypto, there's really nothing that stops us because it's considered a barter.

What makes people use the national currency, for the most part, is access to credit. Try to buy a house by borrowing gold...

>People who use CC licenses suddenly get angry when the CC is okay with AI training.

I get the whole lack of attribution thing, but unless you are licensing your work under a non-commercial license (which I don't seem many people do as it's not a libre license), you are already letting billionaires profit off of your work.
