Under 16s banned from social media starting today in Australia.
When does state violence against minors justify violent rebellion? If not this act by the Australian government, then when?
We have become a society of docile creatures programmed to obey. When I was in school the school yard itself was far more dangerous than anything online ever could be. Sure, there are predators, but if you were in school prior to the past two decades school yard bullies probably did far more damage than the internet has done to youth today.
You can throw forth tons of sad stories with victims, but it hardly justifies the violence used by government to restrain companies and curtail the free speech rights of young people.
It's time to stop treating kids like they're owned no different from an animal or family pet. Kids should NOT be slaves of a sick twisted class of adult.
Kids should not be forced to swipe IDs to buy lunch, humans shouldn't be forced to swipe plastic to get into national parks, and those of us still alive need to take a stand and put some skin in the game in taking a stand against that which is the most violent to us all: Government, including government schooling.

Trades jobs are good paying and "low skill/entry level." A few lawn care clients can pay a good amount.
Also he should talk to the local churches. I won't lie, some are caught up in themselves and may not even try to help. But there will be at least one that will.
If he is close to any business district, window cleaning is cheap to start and you can get $10-40 per store front. A few a day and that's a days pay.
It looks like RWS was planning on publishing some Postal spin-off game but later pulled the plug because of accusations of the game using AI generated assets, despite there being no proof and the only evidence is the art-style giving the vibe and the appearance of a triple-barrel shotgun.
I personally think the game looks garbage either way because it looks like someone put pixelshit billboards in the Unity engine, but I can't tell if it's AI generated or not. If it is AI generated then I'm pretty sure it was an image to image conversion which to me used enough human input to not be considered "slop", but I don't know what other people think.
The anti-AI crowd can be a bit extreme to the point where even the use of AI filters is enough to call for boycotts. And personally, I think AI slop is 100x better than "asset flipper" slop because at least AI will produce something that is somewhat original, even if it is using data from other works.

Question for musicians! 🎶🎄🎶
I’m helping someone put together a set of Christmas music for a last-minute holiday party gig.
Looking for simple/easy arrangements for one guitar and one female vocalist. Both are talented but have limited prep time and minimal Christmas repertoire.
Any recommendations on where to get good sheet music online?
It’s getting hard to tell which websites are legit and which are just spammy slop.
Free is great, but a small fee or subscription is doable.
Thanks!
I was sent this very technical presentation on the potential of a 'digital control grid'. The presenter is very skeptical that technology is sufficiently advanced to run an individualized technological slavery system.
I'm currently writing up my response, but I'm curious for thoughts from any of you who have the time to sit through this.
In truth, I wholeheartedly disagree with many of the conclusions and assertions made, but I found much of it to be a valuable overview of critical concerns.
