It's also concerning that Binance has 'DevOps'.

The sales pitch for 'DevOps':

DevOps (a portmanteau of development and operations) is a cultural philosophy, set of practices, and collection of tools that integrate software development with IT operations to shorten the systems development life cycle and deliver high-quality software faster."

In reality it's a shortcut and cost cutting measure that results in shit hitting the fan because things aren't being developed and managed properly.

Software development should be separate from operations.

It might be acceptable in some sets of circumstances where the risk is low, but not here. Not when billions are at stake. If you've got a small organization dealing in millions of dollars it's one thing. When your dealing with billions of other peoples assets you have no excuse.

Speaking of my current username. It made an appearance in the latest DidYouKnowGaming video!

And yes, I did make that DYKGaming submission years ago.

I'm kind of getting sick of my current username tbh. It has no meaning (it's markov-chain generated), difficult to pronounce, and is one of the few usernames here that has numbers in it (and no, I wasn't born in 1978).

If you want to stay out of trouble, here's how. Be sincere about everything. Be polite to everyone, whoever they are. And don't talk much.

That's good in anyone, men and women, young and old. But when someone young and good-looking speaks nicely, it stays with you. You can't help liking them.

Every kind of trouble starts the same way: you act too much at home, you play the expert, you look as if you own the place, and you treat other people as if they don't count.

Electricity being a dominant force over gravity throughout the universe isn't flat earth tier BS though. For example, various electric models of the sun match closely to observations because they're based on observation. The nuclear furnace concept of stellar formation is a near empty theory at this point, with more and more "baffling observations that don't match models" building up as the decades go on.

The original Velikovsky idea of solar system formation originating from Saturn being captured by the Sun and ripping Earth, Mars, and Venus away from Saturn and into its own orbital influence is essentially interpreting ancient human myth across the planet.

@ForbiddenDreamer @ChristiJunior @judgedread @radians I accept your concession. Every time I ask one of you knuckle dragging vantablack flat earth niggers to actually defend your position it reveals you haven't had an original thought in your life, you're just lashing out like a toddler at the teacher that made you stay inside during recess in third grade that one time to learn basic astronomy

@xianc78 @beardalaxy I believe part of what drove forums to extinction was that there never was a decent app to auto sign-in and post on most forums. There were a few meager attempts, but most forum users were already computer people and weren't interested.

However, as most internet users became phone posters, forums lost proportionally traffic and were defunded by advertisement. In the meantime, the hole left in their wake was fulfilled by reddit and discord, which both provided convenient apps and no need to juggle between multiple accounts. Unfortunately they were also huge centralized platforms, but normies wouldn't care

tl;dr: The iPhone birthed the phone poster Internet user, who killed the forum ecosystem because there was not a convenient app to post on forums
