I don't get it.
I own a pair of programmers gloves, but that doesn't make me gay. I got them for the fun, but joking about gay shit is completely different, then social experiments or even full on trooning out.

I always assumed that the push was coming from the coomer brains. I see way too many fujoshis saying, that they are gay men, but it doesn't take a genius to see, that they are just projecting themselves into the gay books they read into the role of "someone" getting railed by a dude. I don't think it's any deeper than that. They are so uncomfortable talking about straight relationships that they imagine a gay one and themselves in the role of one of the gays.
