Never fucking buying a phone on a whim again. Ever. EVER!!! I HATE THIS PIECE OF JUNK!!!

@beardalaxy
To end it here, I seriously do see, that they did a TON of work on the game, and I believe it might be good one day... But that will require a fan re-shade and a ton of stability patches.

@thatbrickster
She literally tone-polices so incredibly hard, that no matter what I say, she immediately jumps in and kills the wibes by telling me, what I can and cannot say.

I mean, I could be talking even about a fucking law that never once touched her life in any way, and she still tells me, that my opinion is wrong. And I don't mean ocasionally. I mean literally every single topic.

I cannot believe just how draining it is to talk to my birthing person even for a single fucking minute.

@beardalaxy
I seriously don't know, how some weird textures could have triggered my spider sences about this game, but I remember saying, that it just didn't feel right graphically.

Well, Twitter is slowly starting to collect clips now.

@beardalaxy
While I am in a ranting mood.

Cinematic intros are just retarded. I started the game and created the character, The character editor looked fine. But then, I got this linear 20min long section, where I noticed the graphical problems. And I COULDN'T JUST PAUSE THE GAME, AND CHANGE THE SETTINGS!!!!

So, by the time, I got to the options menu, half of the intro was gone, and since the game didn't pause, 95% of the intro was gone, before I got the settings better.

And now, there is no reset button, except deleting my well made Annie Leonhart, and restarting my progress. Who thinks, that this is the best way to start the game? Why cannot you give me a single 5 min gameplay first, so I can figure this out, before you blast me with the cinematic intro?

@beardalaxy
BTW, I agre completely.
When you look at the Phantom pain or Blacklist, both games are still using only the old 3D graphics with no insane post processing like ray Tracing. Yet, look at them. All textures perfectly sharp and readable. You can put them through as many cinematic filters as you want. And the games just look GREAT.

Where the fuck have we lost the edge? What more do you need, that you're willing to risk a complete graphical collapse in pursuit of one more reflection?

@LukeAlmighty it's crazy that games from 20 years ago have a more stable picture than current gen games do. There's no stuttering, no weird shimmering and ghosting, reflections aren't noticeably incorrect and shifting all the time, transparency is actual transparent instead of dithered... I could go on. Even 10 years ago none of this was really an issue. Sure, models and textures aren't of objectively higher quality, but there's nothing in the game that is just constantly ripping you out of the immersion. I actually end up needing to turn screen space reflection off in a lot of games because of how weird it can look. I tend to not use raytracing because of how things can get smeared with it on (which is only just now starting to be kind of fixed).

And of course, not only is the image significantly harder to look at, the games run like shit too and there isn't nearly as much artistry as there used to be. Those old games were running on systems that were using under 1gb of slow RAM.

@beardalaxy
I think this image says it all. LOD is a great technique. And an important one. But, is has to be dome manually, and set with some reason. But then, a real genius manager came in, and asked: But couldn't we automate it?

And somehow, they ended up with LOD so dinamic, that it can decide to use the lowest model for a character, that is standing right in front of you.

People are trying to make engines, that rewrite 1/2 of the game on the go, and then, it takes 1 slight hickup, for all the ststems to collapse at once.

@VD15 @matrix
Well, closed betas are great for optimalizing games.

Open betas few months before release are just pure marketing. And a great one, if your product is gold.
