@LukeAlmighty i've seen a lot of people recently talking about how kingdom come deliverance 2 looks heaps and bounds better than any ray-traced modern graphics rendering bullshit. THEY'RE RIGHT. in stills it looks a little bit better, but then you get into motion and there's just no contest.
nintendo knows how to optimize the ever loving fuck out of their games, and a lot of their close partners do too (not you, game freak). i think the best example of it is mario kart 8dx, and the metroid prime remaster is gorgeous as well. it's crazy that you can get something like smash ultimate running at a buttery smooth 60fps with tons of crazy shit happening on screen with 8 players, and at 1080p, but then mortal kombat 10 or whatever it was ends up looking like an early bargain bin ps2 game on the same console.
i fucking hate modern graphics rendering so much dude it's the most distracting shit ever.

I've heard people argue before, and I didn't quite believe it, but I'm starting to. Gaming is not for children anymore. They're not focusing on making games or consoles for children. The entire market is focusing solely on adults.
Kids can cope with a smaller screen because they're holding it closer to their face anyway, since they're, you know, small kids. But adults need bigger screens, bigger surfaces to grasp, etc.
So many people have expectations of GTA 6 so huge, that I am starting to ask myself if I'm fucking coping over it.
I just don't believe it can match even GTA 5 in most ways. Because GTA 5 was released in a unified era, while now, GTA 6 will be released in an era of social boycotts. Not to mention, that outright pessimism too.
Not to mention, that GTA V made money from a live service model, but recreating a successful life service is a fucking russian rulete. Most probable case will be, that it ends up even hurting the 5 online, while 6 just won't catch on.
Yes, I unironically want a gameboy advanced sized handheld with Steam OS.
I know, that it's pushing the limits of technology, but seriously, it's not pushing THAT MUCH...
Now, all that Valve needs to win is to
1) release a pocket console
2) Add games to android Steam
And you have won the market.

The 10 FPS is their BEST CASE. They literally thought, that it was in an advertisement ready state.

@justnormalkorean Probably Indian code as to why its getting worse. Why does MSTeams take 9 seconds to load on an SSD? Why did they celebrate when it dropped from 23 seconds? Why would it EVER take a chat program 23 seconds to load on an SSD. Cyberpunk takes 23 seconds to load on an SSD. MSTeams is not Cyberpunk. MSTeams doesn't have path tracing.
