My Steam Deck is retarded.
I put it to sleep, Disconnect headphones etc...
And then, it refuses to turn on, until I put the headphones in. Same goes for charging for some reason.

Documenting them to get newfags to learn them is even more difficult than just writing the software because of the audience alone. For example, if you're interested in tinkering a popular Linux distro, you'll eventually have to learn systemd. An official beginner's guide, however, doesn't exist. You'll have to rely on a web search and an online wiki just to understand how to even configure it for the first time. One of my favorite beginner's guides is unironically Gentoo Linux. They have a HANDBOOK over just a complex wiki, even if it could be a little unorganized sometimes. Too bad there's no official handbook for most Linux distros.

What made America a superpower was its logistics, in particular allocating its human capital. American dominance in the 20th century was because it had an exceptional system where teachers all across the country knew to look for exceptionally bright students, make note of it, and make sure they got on a pipeline to elite institutions like MIT or Stanford. If you look at a lot of people from places like Bell Labs, they came from small towns you never heard of like Columbus Nebraska, Petoskey Michigan, Farmville Virginia, or Visalia California. This pipeline got disrupted in the 1970s and we were coasting on inertia for some time, and now the pipeline has been completely blown up like Nordstream. This will cause a cascade of calamities.

So they bring up how their preferred thing is FOSS and yours isn't and they sincerely think that the debate basically ends there. It doesn't have to actually work as long as their shit is FOSS and your shit isn't.
This, coming from someone who likes Linux and a lot of FOSS shit. In a lot of ways I prefer Linux to Windows but there are just so many compatibility issues that it's often not worth it. But that just won't register as an actual issue, either.
