Yes, people like Erindale for example do everything with nodes. I also agree with what was said about the UV editing in Blender. In the end I only utilize a small part of the features.

Honestly, I haven't catched up with all the geometry nodes at all. At some point I tried to get a building generator working but the tutorial I watched was outdated and I gave up. It's way above my head for the time being.

I used to love Jagged Alliance 2 and played it a lot with the 1.13 mod as well. A while ago they announced they're working on Jagged Alliance 3 but so far every game after 1998 of this series has been horrible and not worth playing.

Will they finally get their shit together?

@hideki Yes, a lot of new people go around asking:
"What's the best software for xyz?"

The best software or workflow rarely exists, it's rather the lack of experience and a search for a convenient fix.

With more experience, software seems to become less important for the people who actually finish their projects.

I try to keep and open mind and I'm happy that Maya folks in denial are also giving Blender smack.

@hideki I'm too low IQ to learn a lot of programs. On the other hand I can also see why some people don't want to do everything in Blender. In the end it seems like whatever get's the project done.

@LukeAlmighty Yeah, it's a shame... It's such a rewarding experience when you play a with well balanced teams.

I guess it couldn't compete with CS:GO and the other POCCNR infested f2p games.

@beardalaxy @LukeAlmighty I wont play any of them. My taste is p. weird anyways. Was big into Arma 3 and Natural Selection 2. Now when I play anything at all it's probably Tabletop Simulator.
