@tomie @xianc78 I have read in For a New Liberty a genuine argument by Rothbard that people have the right to drive their children into the forest and leave them there because there is no direct physical force. They do really

@daya If you like girls with huge canons, probably yes

@beardalaxy Be prepared to sacrifice the family pets if need arises

@louis@emacs.ch I like MPL-2.0 for most things. For something over a network, I only know of the AGPL that would cover it properly

@LukeAlmighty @NEETzsche

>«God says I have the right not to be bonked on my head!»
>„But why do I care?“
>«He is omniprescent!»
>„Okay“
>*bonk*

@NEETzsche @LukeAlmighty It does not make a difference. You can't get an ought from an is, even if the "is" is a god

@hko I would not want secrets being logged unless I VERY EXPLICITLY tell it to. Should not be a side effect of changing logging level from debug to trace

@xianc78 I suppose so

Best explanation for homosexuality is the genetically antagonistic theory, which would mean it is fixed

@xianc78 You could make the case that allowing it at all would allow "voluntary" cases to happen too

Can hardly imagine why anyone would willingly wanna do it other than self-hating religious pressure

@beardalaxy NPCs pick their dialogue randomly from a pool. If he repeats the same thing exactly the same you might be dealing with a skinwalker

@beardalaxy @tomie @xyfdi >I have not played enough to understand it
>Having to learn the game is padding
>Not fun because of it

:tanya_bored:

I guess the issue is that you want the game to be explained to you and the difficulty to come from the gameplay, whereas in DS learning the game is the main source of the difficulty. In either case, you play the game to get good, I see no reason why one would be worse other than mindset

>it had a checkpoint right before the first boss
So does the Asylum Demon in DS1, Last Giant in DS2 is a ladder and an elevator away (via shortcut, level designs, especially in DS1 is great), and Iudex Gundyr in DS3 is a short stroll away

A bonfire is rarely very far away, and you are rewarded for exploring via shortcuts, hidden bonfires, changing the environment, or just getting better at fighting the enemies between you and the boss and learning the area

You have the wrong perception of the games if you think you're supposed to die 50 times to the same boss in a row to memorise tiny twitches in their attacks

If you're taking more than a couple attempts, it's almost always a sign that you should adapt or come back later
