@LukeAlmighty Tasting History sometimes goes like "yeah this isn't really good" but that kind of goes with the territory. I think he did some sort of fish pudding once...

Everybody posting these, a month ago I was at like 100 WPM but I've been practicing :blobcatuwu:

@beardalaxy Oh no ;-; I see that all the time at Goodwill, nearly every disc is just gone. This local place is run by a goofy old Vietnam vet and it's so cramped and dusty nobody would steal anything... Honestly, I'm surprised an independent hole-in-the-wall like it can stay in business today.

@beardalaxy Summoning and Dungeoneering and some major quests and minigames. It's like a four year difference. I think OSRS just wasn't the right time for the snapshot, being 2007... but they have added on a lot so it's like it's own thing now. One day maybe I'll start up OSRS again and get things to my RS3 levels...

I like buying or burning a CD and just going to a lonely place just because I won't be overloaded by infinite digital selection. Local junk store near me has a ton of used stuff so I will just buy a random CD of a name I recognize and try it out. Now I really like Prince.

Scrolling through local timeline and replying to stuff from two weeks ago because I'm dumb

@beardalaxy I think aesthetics were a big part of RS being magical, with the simple graphical style of RS2 the limits ironically helped your imagination fill the world with your own brand of fantasy... It really did feel like you could put yourself in the world and feel like an individual. If there was something that just freeze-framed 2011-ish right before they added microtransactions it would be great.

Hearing this for the first time after begging my parents to pay for a month of membership felt like I went through some sort of character arc, lmao: youtube.com/watch?v=IpU5owQdVj

@beardalaxy Oh yeah just mocking negative Steam reviews, some real gems there

Time played: 0.3 hours
I was so excited to play my favorite mech series for the first time ever. Unfortunately I couldn't make it past the first boss, which has never been an issue in any previous From Software game. Really expected more from the developers of Ninja Blade.

Last night had a dream where I went to see an MMA fight and the fighters were shuffling towards and away from each other and whiffing punches and kicks to build meter like it was 3rd Strike

10 hours of garbage live service F2P game: :blobcat:

10 minutes of something to improve my life: :blobcatnuu:

@beardalaxy Sick video, basically compacted 90% of what they teach in four years of college about Japanese government, religious, and societal history, into 90 minutes. Glad this guy did real research because other types of videos like this literally just read off of a Wikipedia page.

Japan is in a constant challenge the powers that be, whether it's the physical government or an idea of a higher power. And yeah, I think these struggles happen in every society in the world as well, but it really is interesting that with Japan and other East Asian nations, it goes back to the beginning of their recorded history.

@beardalaxy I think I like the second one, because there's a growth aspect to those kinds of things. Going from humble beginnings to saving the day lets you put yourself into the hero's shoes. But I think the chosen one thing can be done well too if it shows there's flaws in the character that he has to overcome. If the character starts as a 100% badass who's guaranteed to succeed, there's nothing to be invested in at all...

@Mr_NutterButter In general it is up to the developer of the game to allow the anti-cheat to be played on Linux/through a compatibility layer like Wine or Proton, even though many of these anti-cheats natively support it. So if it simply don't work, it don't work, and at that point it's just begging the devs.

One example is Apex, the anti-cheat used to kick Linux players but down the line Respawn let them through.

lmao this is garbage, I guess I'll get my $15 back, I probably should have done research

@matrix Oh, that's the college I go to. They have e-mailed me many hit articles such as one saying that anti-white racism doesn't exist, and I have been told that I should be killed for being white as part of a class discussion. One of the professors even introduced herself as a colonist who has stolen indigenous land. They don't give a fuck if you're white and I've been told by faculty that I'm born racist. So fuck that place, I just want the paper that says I went to college and to leave this God-forsaken state.

@beardalaxy combination of SF6 and Deep Rock Galactic, and then I also started Oblivion and Fallout 4 because I never played them, and several other random things. This is the first time in like 10 years I basically have done nothing but eat sleep and vidya for an extended period of time, but I guess I oughta enjoy myself before I get back to Uni...
