How are you feeling today?

BEER!!!

@sendpaws This reminds me of when the dev of Aseprite justified going to a proprietary license because it would cause more global warming by people freely sharing and downloading the program

@beardalaxy Yeah but the tricky part is just entering those social situations where early-20-something people are without looking kind of weird

@beardalaxy I hope you are doing your besto fren

@sendpaws my mom has been addicted to thrift store and estate sale yt channels I think she's forming a few parasocial relationships

@Forestofenchantment Nintendo was kikes and made a custom chip inside the cable or some shit and nobody cared about progressive scan in 2001 so nobody bought the cable back then

@lambdacalculus I've been using Linux for fifteen years and I'm racist and antisemitic and you niggerkikes will never ever ever stop me

Arc :blobcatcool: boosted

@beardalaxy seeing those made me have an epiphany and remember these things why have they forsaken us

@tomie some of us do in fact have that dog in them

All my niggas Guidos nigga me ne frego

@maxmustermann "I have more on this that I'm going to be saving for my private patreon" how does a living thing with thoughts get to that point without being slammed into the concrete

@Wiz @YeetLibs @ChristiJunior @Arkana "Pedophilic OCD" basically when you become so paranoid about being a pedo you second guess yourself about everything. Literally being like "I saw a 17-year-old anime character and thought about titties oh fuck oh god am I a pedo now???"

@veru I buy some CDs at thrift stores often but lately it is hard to find anything beyond the most popular late-90's early-2000's mainstream stuff. But I do like having CD quality, I rip them and keep it on PC and also play them on my home stereo and in the car, and also use them to record to cassette because cassettes are fun too.

For modern bands and releases I think I pass CDs more often then not, because the lossless is usually easy to get from like Bandcamp or something, and lots of times modern vinyls or cassettes usually include a download these days too.

@ChristiJunior I dunno I feel like I’m in the minority, I mostly hate it. Most gallery sites are overrun like you said, and even with a tag or something it still slips through. And I just know it’s not genuine. Even if there’s a ton of retard gay artists on twitter making 80% of the art we consume I still feel the effort people put in the art. Even if the AI stuff is infilled or touched up or whatever it still feels effortless. It’s like going to a generic bar and even if the food is like kind of base-level tasty you can still tell it’s just freezer food from Sysco. Like most AI anime pics, even the ones that get touched up, still look like it’s a scraped amalgamation of top-10 Pixiv artists to me. But that may just be my brain addled with hentai for like the last 20 years, I’m really tuned into it. Even if it isn’t technically bad, when I notice art is AI I just kind of disregard it instantly.

And I fuck around locally with it like all the time too. There are some artists who are gone forever or just don’t make shit often enough and I can still get a taste of their style with situations I specifically like if I generate it on my own. But I still can’t shake the novelty and not-realness of it to me. It will never truly be their art, it’s always not perfect. Maybe it will be someday but if I know it isn’t genuine it will not ever be the same as something genuine.
