@Tamamo why does such a studio have to make the only game I play

@hideki 3 S words and you can only choose 2 of them:
Success
Social
Sleep

i've come to realize i tend to like things people typically don't like and dislike things people typically like. i swear i don't do it on purpose to be a hipster or anything i just have weird tastes i guess.

@Halo i think it was for comedy. not exactly haha funny comedy but the traditional meaning of comedy, making something more light-hearted. someone going to the cinema and seeing a guy getting pulped back then would have been really gruesome, probably would have been a whole scandal. i mean you gotta' remember that when the exorcist came out, people were like fainting in the theater and shit. if someone just wanted to watch a good old spaghetti western they weren't going into it expecting to be watching something that seemed like an actual death, just that it was assumed to be a death.

re: edgerunners thoughts, spoilers ahead

@icedquinn i haven't played cyberpunk tabletop but i've played a relatively small amount of d&d. thankfully the main group i'm in, everyone's pretty good at playing their character to the point where there have been a few times some of us were considering having our character quit the adventure entirely and get a new character that was more retarded.

the other group though devolved pretty quickly into people just always choosing the worst/funniest option possible with a character that was some badass knight or something. it seems like more people have fun doing it that way but i just can't take it seriously enough to enjoy it... which is how i felt about the characters in edgerunners for the most part.

@icedquinn that's normally how i am, i don't watch any new shit that comes out.

i like cyberpunk as a genre so i finally caved and watched it. am reminded why i don't watch new shit that comes out. didn't really like it.

i haven't been the kind of person to watch anything popular coming out even if all my friends are doing it for nearly a decade now. i'll really only go to watch a new movie if everyone else is going not to watch the movie but to hang out with them for a little bit.

maybe it's just a problem with me. there's a reason i don't watch a whole lot of movies/tv shows/anime anymore and it's because i typically don't enjoy what i see. the only thing i've watched recently that i really, really enjoyed was the second season of dragon maid. everything else is old stuff i have already seen before and know for a fact i liked it.

these days i'd rather watch youtube documentaries about video games or something. i took a chance on edgerunners because i like the cyberpunk genre and i got burned so it's probably going to be a long time before i watch anything new again.
