@matana I mean, the only thing I can think of is that one of the names for Jesus is Joshua (kind of?) and, like Jesus, a phoenix can revive from the dead.

If it's just religious symbolism then that's fine by me. One of FF's most popular items is a Phoenix Down as well so they have a lot of Phoenix stuff in general. I don't get how that relates to the name Joshua if that's what you mean though lol.

Idk maybe there's something else I'm missing but if not then I don't mind that lol.

I'd rather have some cheese or clichés that are still fun than cringy protags with writing done by the social media intern and forced diversity anyway. Not saying it's perfect but idk as long as it looks cool and doesn't make me want to kill myself it's good these days xD
