I wanna try just working full time, so that I can afford an apartment by myself, but I'm super worried about my health if I do that. If I start having seizures or feel like I can't work more then I obviously wouldn't be able to afford it anymore.

@LukeAlmighty @icedquinn idk what CIG is but paralives does genuinely look good. It'll probably have all the same woke shit sims 4 does in it but thankfully, due to the nature of the game itself, it isn't much of an issue. You don't have to play characters with those features and you can toss the default characters like that in the swimming pool with no ladder or just manually change them xD

But yeah it does look good still, lots of detail and effort put into it. Lots of charm. Art style is nice. There's an in-game tool that lets you change text, which is pretty cool for not just translations but also changing the names of stuff like the "gamebox 400" into an "Xbox 360" or whatever xD

The paradox game looks more like a tech demo tbh. Like, a sandbox game that's going to require mods to have actual content. I don't like their weird AI chat implementation either. It just seems devoid of emotion or substance and I'm not a big fan of the artwork either.

Then there's Sims 5, which we don't really know anything about besides there was a "demo" that leaked that was just a room where you could move the furniture around or something. I'm fully expecting it to be a live-service, microtransaction hell with slightly better graphics than Sims 4. If we get something like an actual game I'll be very impressed.

@LukeAlmighty yup it's ass, this is why people pirate. Sims 4 is super easy to pirate too lol. I purchased the game before it went f2p but I don't have origin installed nor do I want to install it so I use a pirated version to actually play it.

got some more work done on a side quest tonight. it's coming along, this quest is just a bit more complicated than the previous ones, and that's what the trend going forward is going to be.

i've put the easiest quests first to help me get into the groove and mindset of actually programming and completing them. now that those are largely out of the way, the rest will take a little bit more time.

actual rpg arc incoming? i've been meaning to play ni no kuni forever.

i'm normally not a huge rpg guy, but idk, the mood to play one has been slowly but surely increasing for a while now.

gotta' beat tears of the kingdom first though lol.

ngl, if i actually had $500 to drop on a ps5 i probably would for ff16. horrible purchasing decision but i'd still do it if i could. i'm watching some streamers play it and i'm fucking hooked lol.

@MoeBritannica i stopped watching mutahar when i heard his opinion on loli. a lot of content creators in this similar space are like "it's not my thing but whatever" but mutahar is seemingly actively against it existing at all.

he also started uploading rant videos that were relatively unhinged and that's not why i subbed to him in the first place. i wanted to hear stories about creepy stuff in gaming. his deep web dives were kind of fun for a little bit too. does he even do that shit anymore or is he just brown reviewtechusa at this point?

back to when there were only 3 kingdom hearts games.
and everyone thought the next game was going to be kingdom hearts 3.
and it was going to wrap up the whole series in some big, climactic ending.
those were simpler times.

kingdom hearts means a lot to me but man, it got to the point where i couldn't follow it anymore. i never played the 3rd game and probably never will.

i still get nostalgic thinking back to the people i played the game with and talked to about it. just like kingdom hearts, they're not really a part of my life anymore.

just more memories that will never have their feelings replicated. i know life is all about making new memories but they never feel as impactful in the moment as they do years later when you recall them.
