@Mr_NutterButter yeah I feel that sometimes. I've been learning that it's necessary, though. Sometimes you need a little bit of time to just float around a little bit. It's why people go on vacation, you know?

I've been watching a lot of horror stuff lately and in a roundabout way it has been increasing my motivation for game dev on God's Disdain.

The next game I'm making is a horror game. The story, puzzles, and all of the maps have been designed on paper for years now. All of the design documents are there and all it needs is to be actually programmed, along with the art and music of course. It will be linear and much easier to develop than God's Disdain (which goes for all of my future projects, I never want to spend this long making a game again).

I really want to actually start working on this game. You have no idea. Any time I watch or play anything even remotely horror oriented I want to start development on it. I can't though, because I would be abandoning a project 8 years in the making.

So, I'll keep chipping away at God's Disdain and hope I can get it done soon. Don't get me wrong, I love this game and the world I've created, all the characters, etc. but it is getting so tiring. I just want it to be done so I can move on.

though i would say china/north korea are more the pinnacle of east asian culture. japan is a lot more westernized than they are.
