Gimme some good stage names that would be good for a rock star.

@jeffcliff @j @Thanh_Le idk man, I've got epilepsy and I saw people having really bad seizures after taking the vaccine. Decided I would risk a disease that mostly kills old and fat people instead of a vaccine that would potentially do a lot more damage to me. Also the whole "trust the science" thing really loses its luster when you know how often "established science" is either just flat out wrong or has been directly manipulated by bad actors. Scientific theories (emphasis on theories) are good to take into account, especially if they have been well tested and developed over a long period of time. Still, trusting it wholesale is how you get stuff like 15 years of alzheimers research being based on fabrications or several elements being "discovered" by the guy who wrote the software to discover them.

@LukeAlmighty @sendpaws @ChristiJunior well, like pawslut said, it's mainly for practice. There are a lot of leaderboards that don't even require proof if you don't have a top time. I think that's how it works for goldeneye 007 for instance. Anyone taking it seriously enough to get a top time will definitely be playing on console.

shondo is going through a lot right now, i feel really bad :meru_sad:
i hope everything can get better for her and her family. as better as it can be.

@LukeAlmighty @sendpaws @ChristiJunior it depends on the community setting standards for certain things. a lot of it comes down to emulation accuracy as well as trying to cut off an avenue for cheating. the reason why billy mitchell was found to be using an emulator in the first place was because of an inaccuracy. emulation can also make certain things easier, like controller remapping and higher render resolutions.

for ocarina of time, emulator is allowed (pj64 1.6 or 1.7 only) only if your time isn't in the top 10%. for mario 64, emulator and virtual console runs are in a completely separate category.

i didn't think i would be as sad as i am at gawr gura's graduation. it seems like i get more sad about it every day. after the announcement i was like "damn" but that's it. but when she released ash again i got a lot more emotional.

the rational part of me is like, obviously it's just the end of the character and the girl behind her is probably going to keep doing stuff anyway. at the very least, she'll hopefully be happier and all that.

but i'm also a big softy :meru_sad: i really like gura and found her extremely relatable. i've had similar feelings when video game characters i really like die or have their stories end by other means, so maybe it's something like that.
