rant

@Mr_NutterButter i think people just fundamentally do not understand the reason age of consent laws exist in the first place. it is mostly about keeping children safe from exploitation by people outside of their peer groups. maybe it's just different cultures or something but at least where i'm at, a 14 and a 17 year old could be attending the same school and the same youth groups (sports, church, clubs, etc). hell they could even be on the same varsity sports team in some circumstances.

obviously, though maybe not so obviously to some retards, if someone ages out of that peer group while dating someone within it, it's a completely different situation since they were in that group when they started dating. it's not like the dude is going to turn 18 and then immediately have bad intentions or some shit.

from the context given in the clip that i saw, it seemed like the people on the tv show were all in college, so we're talking about some like brilliant 14 year old with a smart 17 year old taking college classes together and we're trying to act like the guy is going to take advantage of her by default or some shit. just weird, man.

the actual weird part of the clip was that it seemed like the dude was being basically blackmailed into dating her anyway, even though he felt uncomfortable with the age difference, but that's besides the point.

ugh i stumbled into normie instagram again where people are malding over a 14 year old girl dating a 17 year old boy as if he's a child rapist or some shit.

@rosey i mean, if a theoretical robot like that were an arm of the law then it wouldn't really be any different from other types of public surveillance. or private surveillance, for that matter. mcdonald's is already surveilling everyone in and around the building. if you drive by a cop or stop at an intersection you're probably on camera. that's just kind of how it is.

i was thinking the other day how wild it is that there was a time when cellphones didn't exist so you couldn't just call the cops anywhere. you'd have to like run over to a building or a phone booth to do it. i think that's only going to continue in that trend, where eventually there will be AI in all these cameras and shit that will be able to notify the cops a crime is taking place before anybody is even able to grab their phone.

i think if i saw what i knew was a cop bot following a dude i'd gtfo xD not because of the robot but because of the dude it is following around lol.

@rosey i can see it if it was like, fuckin robocop who would just kill them on the spot if they committed a crime again and it was a probation thing

otherwise though they are completely useless lol

Since I don't have to pay for my figures and fumos until the end of the year, I might hold off on doing so until then. Who the fuck knows with this administration... the tariffs might not be an issue by then and I can get cheaper shipping. It's about $100 for the shipping alone right now... I'm willing to take that bet.

@Moto_Chagatai I don't understand why the movie was rated R but they still didn't give her nipples like wtf is this shit

@rosey I've played a little bit of San Andreas, 5, and whatever the fuck that PSP one was. I don't get the hype. They're decent games but I don't really care.
