@coolboymew @tyler @Fullmetal2255 that's older melee shit honestly, the meta is getting turned on its head every year at this point. We had donkey Kong mains getting top 8s for a while, a yoshi main won 2 majors in a row iirc, and now this year the story is a Luigi main absolutely mogging on the best player in the world. Melee is kind of crazy in that regard. One of the best accidentally good games ever.

People who wrecked their hands like m2k and hax$ didn't really take care of their hands, they just kept doing the degenerate gamer thing where you keep playing video games despite anything else. People were screaming at m2k to go to the doctor so much that it became a meme. Hax$ eventually did but by then it was way too late so he went and developed a fight stick for melee and that evolved into some other products that a good amount of people actually use now.

But yeah you no longer have to play fox and destroy your hands is what I'm saying. Zain won an online tournament with Roy a little while ago and Aklo has put in some crazy work with Link.

Some dudes just never got over trying to LOOK cool instead of actually just being chill and those are the guys who have all these complexes that end up biting them in the ass later.
