@matrix those lust from beyond games kind of looked intriguing, but the reviews were a bit on the meh side so i figured i would skip on them.

i tried playing some online tetris.
it seems like i've got the skill, but not the speed.
like, i can stay alive for a long time, getting plenty of tetrises, but it doesn't matter because there's a two minute timer when the other player tops out and they're always a couple levels ahead of me so their points are worth a lot more and i just don't have enough time to catch up.
tbh i don't know if i'll be able to go faster, that's an epilepsy problem and why i can't work a whole lot of jobs that require actually moving quickly. my whole life i've always done things pretty slowly because i'm running kind of on autopilot sometimes so there's no sense of urgency.
if i put countless hours into it, i'll probably get faster over time just on the autopilot mode, it's definitely possible. the question is, do i WANT to dedicate that much time to it because it will take a lot longer for me than the regular joe.

imagine if, in the background of your life, there was always the relevant animal crossing music playing

@matrix the best thing would be if they just lowered the price permanently, there's no reason a DLC should cost as much as the entire game.

@matrix nah the sims 3 ones used to go on sale all the time, i had a lot of the DLCs in my wish list because i used to play 3 a lot. lately though it seems like they haven't gone on sale as much.

@Hasheagle@noagendasocial.com @Dan_Ramos nahh that's spelled correctly still it's just a synonym

@matrix they do a lot actually. maybe not as much anymore, but just a couple years ago it seemed like every few months all of the DLCs would go on sale for $5.

@beardalaxy

Did someone mention "Furry Hitler"? Because I think someone just mentioned "Furry Hitler"...

@matrix unfortunately i don't like the retro shooters too much :P i should have been a bit more specific lol xD

here's what i'm pickin up for the steam summer sale

although if someone wants to recommend me a good futuristic fps i might check that out too

tl;dr i don't give a fuck, steam is still better than 99% of companies and there are still some "loli" games on there anyway

@RehnSturm256 @ehhh @Melon there are plenty of games on steam that still have loli stuff or flat/smol girls in them. fuck i played one just a while ago, sweetest monster, which was a fucking insane trip of a VN by the way. SPOILER ALERT but there's some high school aged girl nudity and sex in that. and i also already mentioned princess maker (i think it's 2 that has nudity and some other lewd stuff in it). i'm sure there's more on there, i've seen them around, but i don't have too much of a desire to play a lot of them so i haven't really looked into it much. paying $10+ for a 2 hour game that is really just me clicking through a VN with little to not interactivity isn't really my jam.

also, let's not forget to mention koikatsu party, which takes place exclusively in a high school. you can make pretty smol girls and they have all the classes you can put them in but of course the description in steam says "all girls are 18+" so that's probably their way of getting around it (which i'm sure more games could do if they really wanted to).

steam isn't perfect, obviously it would be fantastic if they allowed loli just straight up no matter what, but you're acting like valve is just like any other buttfuck gaming company while they are still better than even the big japanese ones.

if you really want to play loli games, itch.io still allows them (as evidenced by unteralterbach which has parts that wouldn't even be allowed to be posted on gameliberty) and they're all up on vndb, and you can usually support the creators if you want to moreso than you would be getting them on steam anyway.

i'm not a valve simp or anything, but like come on, they are far from hateable and they aren't ones to really pick sides or do any sort of faux political activism, plus they're still a private company which i can appreciate. they're better than 99% of companies out there.

@Mr_NutterButter funny enough, it has actually helped my hypersexuality a lot to be an outlet for it as well as it becoming more regular by exposure. i'm debilitatingly horny far less often since being on fedi especially and just scrolling through the timeline and seeing hentai casually. perhaps it's not too good for regular people though.

in your case it might be good to take a break, or force your sensitive filter on. it should only take a little bit to refresh your brain.

@ehhh @Melon @RehnSturm256 i think it's because it's still kind of in a legally gray area, or at least it is perceived as such. it's also something that is just straight up illegal in a lot of places so rather than having to jump around different region locks and shit a lot of companies prefer to just axe it all.

i honestly really don't mind it too much, there are plenty of places loli and loli games/mods still exist.
