@captainepoch no really, no. It really depends on external lighting conditions. Your perception of text on your screen words due to contrast between the letters and their background. With dark themes, the contrast is less - that is, unless you crank up the brightness or use OLED screen - because there's just so many pixels comprising the symbol. On top of that, not all pixels in a symbol are equal due to anti-aliasing and hinting.
Overall, my rule of thumb with LCD screens is, use light themes in brightly lit rooms and dark themes in dark environments. With OLEDs, this matters a lot less due to text itself being brighter.

@jbauer @captainepoch I realized this a little while ago, depending on the theme sometimes light is easier on my eyes than dark. It probably depends on the brightness of your display and your environment too.

@wolfbro i got a horrible permanent debuff on constitution which unfortunately prevents my strength and dexterity scores from getting any better. that just means i get more points allocated to wisdom, charisma, and intelligence when i level up though.
