really well done video. city by hollywood undead + cyberpunk 2077.
@djsumdog @icedquinn @LukeAlmighty @a7 @BlinkRape i hated edgerunners lol not gonna go on that rant again so soon though xD
@icedquinn @djsumdog @LukeAlmighty @a7 @BlinkRape y'all are making me want to play the game again. no.... gotta' wait for the DLC.
@djsumdog @icedquinn @LukeAlmighty @a7 @BlinkRape my friend played it only after the 2.0 update after watching edgerunners, and he fucking loved it. he was talking about all the character builds he was trying out and stuff and i'm just sitting here like.... man none of that was in the game back when i played it xD
@arcana @icedquinn @LukeAlmighty @a7 @BlinkRape i liked the combat of witcher 3 specifically because i could fudge it and i get some sort of sick enjoyment when i can play a game in a way that makes everything completely broken lol. i didn't fast travel at all and took pretty much every side quest i found along the way, it was a good time. i didn't find the main story engaging at all, it was all the little side stuff going on with the world that i enjoyed a lot more and that became inspiration for my video game.
with cyberpunk, i'm just a huge fan of the aesthetic and the melee combat was pretty fucking fun, i loved going into a stealth mission with my high body stat and just driving a burning car into a group of people, watching it explode, then slicing everyone else up with a katana xD
@BlinkRape @LukeAlmighty @a7 isn't that just a picture of every female employee at cdpr? if the game had 500 members on it that's still an overwhelming majority of men. many of these chicks were probably doing stuff like art design or running social media or something like that anyway.
cyberpunk's real problem was directors/producers constantly being changed and changing their minds about shit, lying to investors and customers, and the company that did the bug testing being pretty shitty. i think women working on it had very little to do with the game's failure, if anything at all.
@djsumdog @icedquinn @LukeAlmighty @a7 @BlinkRape i never actually saw the jesus one, and i did a pretty good amount of quests. none of my friends saw it either and i didn't see anyone really talk about it lol.
the delamain mission i actually failed because i got shafted in between barriers that popped up and blew up the car lol. i didn't really have any bugs beyond graphical ones and i played at launch, so maybe i just got lucky. i know the game was and still is pretty buggy lol.
@LukeAlmighty @icedquinn @a7 @BlinkRape i never played the DLC either. it took me like 2 years to get through Witcher 3 because i just didn't play it very much, so when i actually finished it i was like.... yeah don't want to spend any more time with the game xD
@icedquinn @LukeAlmighty @a7 @BlinkRape yeah my roommates that played the game didn't like him much either, they're like "he just went too far, he was an asshole." i'm like, yeah... that's what makes him a cool character xD
@LukeAlmighty @BlinkRape the vocalist for the unfit looks more like johnny silverhand than keanu did hahaha
@icedquinn @LukeAlmighty @a7 @BlinkRape it's a safe assumption that people like silverhand BECAUSE he's a shitlord lol. almost like a GG Allin type character.
@icedquinn @LukeAlmighty @a7 @BlinkRape the hooplah around the agme game itself ended up being pretty demonstrative of corporatist hell lol, kind of funny. although, what followed after was pretty good, fixing up the game and such. i'm interested to see what happens with the DLC.
the game changed directors like 2 or 3 times, that's why it didn't really fulfill its original goal. the development of cp2077 seems like it was pretty fucked, it's kind of a miracle the game came out at all.
@LukeAlmighty @BlinkRape i don't really know what to say other than i liked his inclusion overall lol. only thing i really wish had been changed is his design, i don't really like how they just copy-pasted keanu reeves in there because i think the game still would have sold well if they hadn't.
the game's original designs for him are better, but they still deviate far from the TTRPG version. i think the music doesn't exactly line up with what i'd expect from a hardcore punk band either. it needed to be faster and angrier. it should have sounded a lot more like the song "to the fullest:" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a2l4OoEOM20
i still like his extreme anti-corpo mentality and how he actually gave a shit instead of just following trends like most of today's "punk" bands.
have you been combatting him, or going along with him? if you push him down on purpose then you'll definitely experience less of his shit. i let him ride for the majority of the time hahaha.
luckily there is a mod to change him into his OG design ;) https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/4966?tab=description
i wish i had a band still, would love to do some more hardcore covers of Samurai songs and mod them in.
@LukeAlmighty @dave there are a LOT of bangers in it. if you're not playing it with the soundtrack going, you're missing out! it really helps sell the vibe.
@keisuke what about if she's 900 years old though?
@LukeAlmighty at first, johnny just pissed me off and was annoying. i ended up liking him a lot though. doing his whole side quest really shows off his character more. not to mention, the car you get from it is fucking awesome.
do you have a favorite song from the game so far?
@fkq1q2r2 @LukeAlmighty bruh the game was made in poland how can it get any more polish??
@keisuke yeah, and the browser specifically warns you of that lol.
