@matana I've never played ico, just sotc. Off the top of my head, the only game I can think of that had such hints was sa2 in the knux/rouge stages. Those were kind of necessary though lol.

In rift apart the clank sections are the worst, there is a dude talking to you the whole time and if you're trying to figure it out he says "you haven't collected everything yet" and it's just the same line every time. Then clank will mention things you could literally just observe AS you're observing them like "oh this looks like it needs to be changed in x way."

I get that I'm playing a babby game but it's not even like I'm getting stuck on anything, the game just tells you exactly what to do.

Combat is really fun though and I'm liking the story so far. The animation quality seems to have downgraded slightly but I think that's because the previous game actually had a movie made from it using the same cutscenes, so they had to be high enough quality for the big screen. I also appreciate that for the most part it seems like they are adding to the moveset from the previous game instead of doing the classic "all your old moves are gone and you must relearn them" thing.

The game also does the whole "tell you exactly what to do to finish the puzzle" thing soooo fast. It's pretty annoying, I don't get to even think before it tells me what to do.

Other than those quibbles though I'm enjoying it.

Turning them off only turns them off for ratchet. I thought they would like, change the resistance of the whole trigger, not weird points on it that make it feel crusty, like you got some sprite spilled in there once.

I hate the dualsense controller and the whole adaptive trigger thing feels like ass

The second thing I see is a prompt asking me to buy the deluxe edition

Finally going to start ratchet and clank rift apart tonight. 1 year after I bought the damn thing lol. I need to beat it before tears of the kingdom comes out though.
