@Suiseiseki it happens pretty quickly to me too which is unfortunate. screen position and brightness don't help a whole lot, i've messed around with ambient light brightness and color too, not much there. the only thing i noticed that has helped has been using light modes instead of dark modes.

i've always just tried to close my eyes for a few minutes to see if that helps but no dice. i'll try the looking at something in the distance thing and see if that works, thanks for the suggestion!

it's weird, my eyes have like different white balance levels, if that makes sense. one eye sees much brighter white than the other one does, i've wondered if that leads to faster eye strain when i'm looking at stuff. my left eye also seems to adjust to light faster.
