@Aldo2 with a plea deal it's pretty hard to know exactly what happened. Just have to take someone's word more or less. I know that often, victims of abuse won't speak about it for a long time and it takes a lot of courage to do so. I also know that people hold on to grudges for stupid things and falsely accuse people of things.

This pushes things more into Mr. Beast's side though. If it's true that "Delaware" didn't even want to be in the video and Jimmy pushed him into doing it, knowing full well that he was on the sex offender registry and that he would have to hide his face and stuff, that's also really sketchy behavior. It corroborates the testimony from the guy in the new dog pack video that people are pushed/coerced into things they don't necessarily want to do.

I can understand wanting to move on with your life if you've done something wrong, or if you haven't and were falsely accused, but Mr. Beast put him into a situation where it wouldn't be moving on and was bound to crop up again eventually. It's also just flat out not great optics to put someone with a conviction like that front and center in a video. It shows even more that Beast either has no idea wtf he's doing and is super negligent or just flat out doesn't care about anything except becoming more popular.

@Aldo2 @matana if you don't like the instance rules or how it operates, again, you are free to go somewhere else. I'm not talking to you as a mod but as a user with an opinion, and matana is a user too. You are free to post your opinions on things (so long as they don't break the rules such as condoning child abuse). Other users are free to criticize. That isn't the instance itself, it's just users.

3DCG, to my knowledge, is banned here because of potential issues with realism. That is Matrix's personal choice. If you dislike that, feel free to go to a different instance that allows it. Personally I think there is still a clear difference in most cases but I can understand not wanting to face issues over that.

Again, let me remind you that even among lolicons who are pedophiles, there are those who will have different opinions on it. I don't think all lolicons are pedos and I don't think all pedos agree 100% with each other on laws regarding children. There is absolutely a clear difference between pro-c and anti-c. There's no monolith of thought and I don't think lolicons are desperate for acceptance either, if anything we just like to laugh at people who get so worked up over drawings.

Like it or not, there are people who can tell the difference between the real and the fictional and there are people who only like the latter, or at the very least only want to look at the latter because they have their own set of morals despite any proclivities. I think it is disingenuous to say the only reason lolicons aren't siding with pedophiles (or in this case, people who have been convicted by a court of law) is because they are dying to be accepted by normies.

I know most normies won't accept it. I know most normies probably have some weird shit they're into too. I mean fuck, there are people who hate loli but get off on watching cartel killings. I don't really care what they think. Likewise, I don't care what pedophiles think about me not wanting to defend certain people or accept a specific age range that I think isn't good. I don't think it's hypocritical at all for me to think that something in real life is abuse even if I enjoy it in fiction, even down to specific cases. It doesn't matter if some of us are attracted to real children or not, it's where you stand morally.

I share the Comic LO covers because I think they're really well illustrated and beautiful. Don't really care who is drawing them or who is featured in them.

Say what you will about Roblox but people make some crazy shit with it actually. Just watched a video about a fashion show game made with it that sneaks in a horror game that's critical of child beauty pageants. Wild. It's just unfortunate that the Roblox aesthetic is so ugly. Makes it a little hard to take seriously.

everything else aside, i fuckin hate how vitiligo is portrayed in games. something about it just looks like it's painted on. even in games that have much more focus on realism, it just... it doesn't look real. i get the feeling that the artists don't even actually know how vitiligo looks like so they just throw a bunch of white splotches at the wall and hope for the best.

maybe one day there will be some character in a video game with vitiligo where the skin texture for them was actually made with a scan of someone's real skin, but right now man it just looks like ass.

and that's alongside the fact that i just don't like the push for vitiligo in games as is. it just feels 100% like putting it in a video game is only for social brownie points, diversity/inclusion shit you know? every time i see it i just want to cringe and i never apply it to my character. idk, it just makes me feel gross that my disorder is being used by people to make them feel like they're doing something righteous or whatever.

oh great and now i'm just finding out that you can't even play the discs with powerdvd. why the fuck is playing blurays on pc so fucking hard? i know it's a more niche thing to want to do but it's so annoying that it's THIS difficult, nigh impossible, when blu-ray and UHD have been a thing for so long.

@SuperDicq @Nigma @coolboymew @dushman i don't like brave's crypto shit but you can turn it off and get a clean browser with a built-in adblock that is actually really good and won't fall victim to manifest v3 because it's a separate thing written in rust.

was using waterfox for a few years, switched to brave and found it to be a much nicer experience personally. it's less hungry and was easier to work with.

afaik, it is among the best performing browsers, with edge actually being a contender for the best but the ms shit definitely shows.

if you're really going ham on trying to have the most secure/private browsing experience possible without just flat out not using the clearnet at all, then using hardened firefox and only enabling javascript when you actually have to and shit is the way to go. for other people that just want a good out of the box setup though, where you just gotta turn off some crypto shit, brave is great.

opera gx, on the other hand, force feeds shit into their browser like vtuber streams and jump scares. kinda bordering on unethical there, imo. absolute meme browser.

kind of crazy that a manufacturer can just "upgrade" firmware and remove features. then encrypt said firmware to make it harder to downgrade.

i just downgraded my blu-ray drive's firmware so it can now play UHD discs.
