@teto @themilkman a lot of libraries and used game stores will do it for you too. Resurfacing machines.
I learned a few years ago that the top of the disc is actually more important than the bottom, because if there is a scratch on the top the light from the laser will just shoot straight through the disc. There's no data there, but it needs to be solid. Just thought that was interesting.

@coded_artist the problem comes in when that's what you do all day every day, or even all you do when you're not working. Balance in all things.

@themilkman @teto I remember the one that was actually somewhat legit was to use the kind of toothpaste that has the grit to it on the surface and gently brush to resurface the disc. Never tried that on a disc but I did actually used that trick on a monitor to help hide a pretty sizeable scratch and you can only notice if the screen is a solid color and you're looking really hard now.

@Minty I didn't think it was that bad tbh. There were at least a few games in there that looked good. About the same amount of stuff I find interesting in the Nintendo directs usually. I think the main problem is that the stuff that was poor just feels like padding, whether that is the actual Playstation catalog or the presentation itself.

Did you know there is an online version of Kirby air ride city trial some Japanese people made from scratch?? Like 10 years ago. It's crazy I'd never heard of it until like a month ago, apparently it was somewhat popular on 2ch at the time.
