@j or maybe just don't be a retard and close your freezer

In retrospect, the Black Mesa Incident was just a cautionary tale about DEI in STEM

@tomie their car is definitely already broken with how fast they hit us lol

The people that hit us went to a lawyer that specifically helps "underprivileged Hispanics" and their no fault Geico insurance has magically come to the conclusion that they had a yellow light and we ran a red, even though there were no cameras and our lawyer couldn't get them. Complete BS.

@Jens_Rasmussen pixel/analog movement, active battle system, basic 3D, lighting, character customization, all of that is already possible with rpg maker. Relatively easily too. One could definitely make a more old-school mmo with it. There are better ways to go about doing such a thing, but rpg maker is very easy and very well designed, which is why you get a lot of slop from it but also some really notable stuff.

@Jens_Rasmussen it's basically just playing an rpg except there is a chat room and you can see people. At least, for now. There are mmo systems for older rpg makers too that had stuff like active battles, trading, the works (like rmx-os).

But I mean let's be real. Runescape was made with Java in like 2002. I'm pretty sure someone could make a decent mmo in rpg maker if they wanted to. At this point, RPG Maker itself is just a suite of assets and a GUI that helps you make a game. You can rip out any code from it and replace it with whatever else you want, provided it is JS.

I think Luigiblood has got to be one of the most legendary people on the internet. He's helped with so many Nintendo fan projects, like translations, decomps, getting the N64DD stuff to work with emulation, and even a Kirby Air Ride PC remake. I see him everywhere.

@inTrax holy shit jerma on an improv show would be amazing.

someone is making an mmo plugin for rpg maker mv.
since my game in going to be 100% unencrypted, you could theoretically run your own god's disdain mmo server, kind of like yume nikke online.

@sendpaws @hazlin i had a basic class in 8th grade that taught all the parts of the guitar, how to tune, proper form, and how to read tablature. i was using a classical guitar and it was much harder. it was my great grandma's and i still feel really bad for trading it for a normal acoustic ;_;

once you learn those basics though you're pretty much golden as far as beginners go. next step is learning chords, but once you know tabs those are much easier to figure out. there are of course much more advanced techniques after that but that will happen later.

the hardest part about learning guitar is getting through the finger pain and building up those calluses. my pointer and middle finger tips are actually deformed from how much i play lol. a lot of it is just dedication, even if you don't feel like practicing you need to do it anyway.

@hazlin i also gotta wonder how many of the people using this are like actually obese or something. i've got a normal bmi so it'll probably last at least $90 worth.

@hazlin just something simple on amazon for $90 on sale from $120. no incline or rail, fairly small. goes 4mph. it doesn't have to do too much. reviews on it were decent.

few people saying that after about a year it crapped out on them, but i figure that after a year if i'm still going strong i can buy a better one then. kind of like buying a shitty $40 guitar for your first one.
