@Jens_Rasmussen they are overpowered, but they can also wreak havoc. they've gotten really lucky with their pulls.
i really like the random nature of ttrpgs though and i always welcome players doing crazy shit. i know my world and my story very well and i love seeing how players go about breaking it. super fun for me!

@KaiserKitty i think the idea is to try and get companies to come back here, but also to put pressure on other nations to reduce their tariffs on us. if they don't want to reduce their tariffs on us, then ideally we can lower tax rates. i won't pretend to know all the ins and outs of all of it because i really don't, but if it is going to make things more sustainable in the long run for the average dude here i'm fine biting the bullet for a little bit while things get turbulent.
like it's gonna' suck ass if i have to pay more for a switch 2 but if that ends up with prices for other stuff like more domestic goods going down by a lot then i'd say that's a good trade off. only IF that's the case, though. i know a lot of other things have to come together to make the cost of living less expensive.
we'll really just have to wait and see, not like any of us can do shit about it so let's just hope it all turns out well.

How is it an order of magnitude cheaper to get an AliExpress USB cable shipped from Guangzhou than it is to buy one at Walmart (also shipped from Chyna)? Wasn't Coke hiring South American PMCs to kill unions in their factories or some shit and now people want to protect the company? Foxconn paying slaves like $12 a month to make iPhones and I should care Apple is in the red for a week? This shit isn't sustainable or healthy. talked to my mom on the phone again today and she is doing way better. the doctor gave her prescription strength potassium and iron supplements and it seems like it has been helping her a lot. she sounds way better than she did yesterday where i was extremely worried. but hearing her voice today was a good relief.
