@Alex @matana @bebe iirc that is actually illegal in some places, just because it is in the eula doesn't mean it wouldn't be illegal if they did it. however if they're only banning users who are also breaking the law, the people doing that don't really have a leg to stand on unless they really want to take a huge fall to send a message.

@matana @bebe so if a bunch of people take nintendo to court saying "they bricked our switch 2s, which is clearly against this law" and then nintendo says "well they pirated our games, which is clearly against this law" how well do you think that would go?

@Alex well, what i'm talking about isn't really people "waking up" it's people hearing some clickbait on the internet and not investigating any further. physical games are not $90. mario kart world is $80 but metroid prime 4 and donkey kong banaza are $70. nintendo isn't using game key carts for their first party releases. game key carts only exist because the cartridges are really expensive to produce and the games going on them would have just been strictly digital otherwise. the technology for an OLED screen with the same specs is literally non-existent. mario kart world has reverse versions of tracks despite nintendo never clearly revealing it. game upgrades have variable pricing.

etc etc etc etc

what i'm saying is that nintendo hasn't done enough to control the narrative around the console so people are getting their heads full of "fake news" as it were.

there are also things that nintendo is doing which playstation did as well or worse, but they never really got shit for it. the only thing playstation got shit for is having no games. i think it is basically "cool" to shit on nintendo. for good reason, imo, but you have to still get your shit straight.

I WILL be doing FFXVI's new game plus eventually, but I've got Mario Kart World coming in tomorrow.

@xaetacore it's really good, one of my favorites of all time. the only major downside for me was the performance, and removing denuvo didn't do much. you can tell it was specifically designed to run at 30fps on the ps5.

This expansion is incredible, with a lot of great and difficult content. I didn't die at all during the main game or the Echoes of the Fallen DLC, but I did game over around five times during this one. The story is really unique, the boss battles are awesome, and it is overall just more of the same amazing game. I was astonished to see that, after completing the main quest, there were still side quests after it that even somewhat connected to the Echoes of the Fallen DLC. I would heavily recommend this, as it contains about 6-7 hours of content that is all really great.

I don't care much for the Leviathan Eikonic abilities, but part of that is because I got a really good flow going down with what was already in the base game and I didn't really care to learn more stuff. It seems interesting enough but I've never been a huge fan of water magic in general. That's completely subjective though so I'm not really going to factor that into my overall impression.

@bebe @matana it very well might be illegal depending on where you live, but if they're only doing that to pirates then the pirates are doing something illegal too so they don't really have any ground to stand on.

@tomie I didn't have a problem with how she looked in the cg and I don't have a problem with how she looks in game. I still think she does look better in w3 though. I think they might be going a little too heavy with the makeup.

Beat FFXVI The Rising Tide. There are some side quests I have to do that popped up after beating it so I need to do those, but then a review will be on its way shortly.
