my grandpa is a legend, dude. he's standing next to my grandma's open casket and i walk over there to greet both of them. he gives me a big hug, looks me dead in the face and i'm thinking he's gonna say something emotional or serious. he just says "nice beard."

both my grandpa and my grandma were/are always super whimsical and silly, on both sides of my family really, but that rubbed off on me for sure.

will miss my grandma, i'm glad i could make an impact on her in return for the impact she had on me. people i've never even seen before were coming up to me and telling me how much she loved my music. what incredible knowledge to have.

I finally bought a display cabinet for all my figures. I officially have too many for them to all fit on my jank ass setup and they won't get dusty now. Once I get that in as well as my new figures I'll post some pics :)

@sendpaws @RustyCrab @yomiel oh yeah windows is really easy to fuck up, but if you're going to switch to Linux I feel like you're not the kind of person who is going to fuck up your windows install like that xD

Personally speaking, I like Linux a lot but it has a bit too much friction for me. I *can* use it but I usually won't unless it is going to be the path of least resistance. Or if I'm bored and just want to fuck around with something for a bit.

@verita84 @RustyCrab @yomiel realistically it all gets smashed into a database that AI combs over and says what percentage of people are using what hardware and shit for analytic purposes, no I don't care about that.

@Azur_Fenix @Vidmastereon trying it later today probably, I've seen some videos and she does look a little weird, re:engine looks strange when it comes to people honestly. But since she is a robot it kind of works.

@verita84 @RustyCrab @yomiel I mean what's even getting sent at that point, my hardware configuration? Idgaf about that lol I send that shit to valve for free. You can turn off everything that's meaningful. If you have such a strict threat model that you need to start doing firewall blocks I don't really consider people like that a part of the conversation when it comes to which OS to use for general users, professional users, or gamers.

@RustyCrab @yomiel only problem I've had with win11 so far has been that installing it on unsupported hardware made it so the pc won't boot if the monitor it's connected to isn't turned on first. Super funny issue lol.

@RustyCrab @yomiel you can turn all that off in win 11 and most of the broken stuff people keep talking about have been in beta insider builds that are fixed before they make it to release. It's really funny to me that people are more willing to trudge through the trenches in Linux than just doing some simple tweaks in win 11 lol.
