@JeffGrimesArt @Elliptica @paper9741 @Robert_Edwardly bingo! They make you dependent on drugs which in turn makes you dependent on them. It's all about the money.
You know when my mom didn't want to vaccinate us with all this crazy shit, just getting the ones that were absolutely required for public school at the moment they were actually required... The pediatrician apparently yelled at her and told her she was basically killing her kids not getting them vaccinated. Weird shit dude.
When I was having issues with depression in high school and went to see a psychiatrist they put me on meds pretty much right away instead of actually trying to figure stuff out with me and get to the root issues. After I addressed those issues completely on my own with nobody to help, I stopped taking the meds and it took me YEARS to feel "normal" again.
@Amalek_Respector @alexmussolini88 @Xeraser @madonline @wgiwf @Owl uwe boll pandering to the right wing version of "the message" just like the left has been doing with libshit for years. He's ahead of the curve. There will be more like this.
@MoeBritannica the genre has been around for like 1/4 of gaming's life span as we know it. That's crazy.
@BlinkRape whoever brings those things out of their room when I ask tonight is banned from using them ever again I'm so sick of this shit
@BlinkRape the thing is these are MY BOWLS I SHOULD BE ABLE TO USE THE BOWLS THAT I BOUGHT
Had a weird dream last night where this guy had a shadow girlfriend following him around and he asked me if I wanted one. I said yes and then I got one, and his turned into a real girl. So it was like, you had to pass on this shadow to someone else in order for yours to become real. But it felt like... Sinister. Like selfishly passing on a curse to someone. Strange.
@nihilvt i was born right in the middle of these two schools of thought so i just jerk it to anime girls and then play nintendo instead
3am beardposting
@LukeAlmighty @tomie nah that's not what it is at all. we're living lives outside of the internet, have jobs and IRL hobbies and talk to people. some people may sensationalize some character traits to lump you in those categories but they're fucking retarded so whatever. carry on, lad.
the kinds of people tomie's talking about are the people who either straight up sit on the internet all day and have no real life outside of it, or the normies who have let the internet completely override their normal rational thought and just go along with whatever the curated algorithm on the phone says. if i'm understanding correctly, at least.
there have always been people like that in society as well, but i do think the internet (rather, the post-smartphone internet) has greatly exacerbated that and exposed a lot of people who otherwise might have been totally fine without its existence to a straight up worse standard of living. you had your hermits and your trend chasers, but now it seems that those groups have gotten so monolithic that it is hard to escape them. it's the hardest thing to not simply give up and join one of them, but that's where the sincerity topic comes up. sincerity is a virtue, and virtues aren't directly advantageous to the physical/societal survival of a person. they are only helpful for your soul, which there seems to be quite a lack of these days... hence my original post.
@ChristiJunior what it basically comes down to is this: if you can't police your own community, eventually someone else will come and do it for you and you won't like how they do it.
