for dragon's dogma 2, turns out you can't make characters that are deemed "too flat" or "too short" so that sucks. imagine being a 5ft petite woman who wants to make herself in games but you can't these days because retards think you look like a child. the height floor is 160cm for fred fuchs' sake. that's the height of damaris, my phantasy star character. i can JUST BARELY make her. i don't think that's very short at all for a woman tbh.

you could make just straight up child characters in dragon's dogma, the original game. the steam discussion boards are going at it rn.

and damn.... how far we've fallen in terms of puritanism man. it used to be Fox News and the conservative rightoids that were all against video games, fun, and fiction... now it's seemingly EVERYONE including the people who used to hate this kind of censorship bullshit. like, we can't even have children that look normal, they have to look like these weird fucked up midgets like in cyberpunk because the devs are too worried people will want to fuck them or something. as if that would even be their issue to deal with.

In any case, at least for now it seems my initial issue has been resolved? Will have to wait for PSO2 to go back online in a couple of hours to know for sure, but Ghostrunner isn't crashing so that's a good sign.

Maybe all I actually needed to do was unplug my RAM and plug it back in lmao. Who knows. Computers elude me sometimes.

Yeah, looking on Steam there are TONS of people facing issues with 20xx cards. Guess it's not a reliable game for testing my other issue... It's probably unrelated.

Seems like it's happening to a lot of people with 20-series cards. I wonder if there was just some weird issue with a Steam update or something that is causing things to get messed up.

uhhhh swapped back to my RAM and just played an hour of ghost runner.... no issues??? no crashes at all. no idea.

okay first testing with the RAM, it seems like this may be the issue. gonna' swap back to my normal RAM and see if it crashes again. if it does then thank God, i can get away with buying more RAM.

Welp, that registry edit fix didn't last very long. Dragon's Dogma 2 character creator crashed my graphics driver hard, had to reset the PC. So now I'm forced to do some diagnostics. Time to break out the backup pieces....

i wish i had the balls to commit tax fraud. i hate the fact that if i don't shell out for the government to bomb children in other countries i might get fucking sent to prison. you know maybe if i wasn't balls deep in making a game right now i'd do it because i honestly don't really have anything else to lose.
