despite my better judgement, matana played Silent Hill 3
and well I'll be, this is actually a very well done game! It is spooky and scary and the sound design with the level design are able to make your skin crawl, and Heather has a character and she actively shows it
the madlads took two games, but they done it, it's a good game! I recommend it to everyone
@coded_artist @beardalaxy @matrix bruh
I can't say I really hear anything neither when I read nor when I write nor whenever
I can have an idea of how someone might sound, but ~imagining~ any voice than a default one requires concentration and still I can't say that I hear anything
I can't even say that when I get a song stuck in my head that I hear it
@beardalaxy @matrix I just have to know now: do people also literally hear their thoughts or is this at least a figure of speech??
@matrix SHUT UPPPPPPP

(interesting note that the article mentions this patrol is made out of lathe operators and 'young people from the jewish circle')

I read 'The splashes of star seas', the book is so obscure that it has neither any official English translation nor a basic wiki page I could link
I have been quite literally moved to tears: I fucking hate this book, its authors, and even with my libre approach to creativity I think these two should've been banned from writing permanently
so, in short, it's very good but also very depressing, which is surprising for a hopeful space communism setting
I would recommend it, had it any English TL, but also would never recommend it and burn all its copies
@applejack oh, Christianity is mostly unrelated to the screenshot itself, it's a character just monologuing (and the characters talk A LOT) and you find this candle in a mall chapel for instant weddings
but I'd say that the game simultaneously showing a Christian in a positive light while also making fun of Sunday Christians is another telltale sign of this being a game with DEI forced there instead of it being the core idea
also the heist apartment is straight up snatched from GTA V, same with several animations
@LukeAlmighty they can't prosecute me if they proudly denounced doing business with my country first
@picandor @LukeAlmighty I know for sure that I am not going to use a device that can be easily stolen as a primary storage for any of my work
and it bothers me greatly that so many things now from government ID to popular website accounts are tied to a phone number nowadays
@LukeAlmighty you will have to pry my desktop out of my cold dead grasp and when you're unable, you'll have to bury me with my puter
want to change my pfp so it's been long overdue for me to provide the source for those who may not know

glad to see the tradition going strong
a short Andromeda: A Space-Age Tale review just to show that I don't just read comics
this book is difficult to read not just because my attention span has been eroded by modern internet but also because it's full of unironic Science and what others would write off as "it's sci-fi, I ain't gonna explain SHIT" Ivan Yefremov details and then details some more with calculations
but for the same reason it's also very funny to read, when you live in the near future full of technologies and read a completely opposite description in the book, like when all of mankind attentively listens to Important Space Announcements, like lmao
the author took picrelated to heart long before it even existed, except he uses actual science instead of esoteric magic system: to be honest, I remember fuck all about actual characters aside from very few plot points but I remember the overall plot driving force being women really wanting to fuck men and men in the most autistic fashion ever going "but I want to do Cool Manly Stuff" because the author's kink is hellenistic wanking on Men's Achivements and Form and that's also why everyone are constantly So Serious and Philosophizing and often they're Discussing Important Philosophy while also bathing borderline stark raving naked (and at one time in below zero temperatures because the author IS Russian)
the political powerfantasy is, naturally, sci-fi communism written so sickly sweetly that I would Not like to live under that system solely because everyone are Way Too Serious and there's literally no place for fooling around and having fun (I still have to read the spiritual sequel where the sci-fi communism will become outdated, too)
the sus part is that when writing about hellenistic communist utopia the author made everyone permanently on physics and mind enhancing drugs
would I recommend to read it? yes, but with caution: and just yes if you really like to read about people swimming
