It's March 14th, and you know what that means! God's Disdain is OUT NOW!! Huzzah! If you like the old-school nature of SNES RPGs like Dragon Quest as well as the worlds of games like The Elder Scrolls, this is the game for you!

God's Disdain is a non-linear, turn-based JRPG about a world stricken by a mysterious plague. As Tamiko, alongside her brother Kenshin and other friends you find along the way, you must find a way to stop the plague for good and either save Hajimari or damn it. There are tons of side quests, dungeons, and unique locations to check out as well as plenty of gear and magic! The world is totally open for you to explore... what will you find?

Many people have contributed to this game over the course of the last near-decade, and we would all appreciate you trying it out! God's Disdain is free to play with an optional Supporter Pack if you like the game. There is no DRM and all the game files are completely accessible if you would like to mess around with it! Enjoy :)

@sun @PurpCat @phnt Yeah, only option Misskey has for scaling is a slave db and multiple redis servers

@sun @PurpCat @phnt Pleroma should ideally be better at scaling because of Erlang

@phnt @sun Federation breaks when you set CF too aggressively, so it only really helps in regards to bandwidth and ddos

@sun I think only large instances like Pawoo and MatSoc probably need a secondary read only db, while I remember p having to deploy one for FSE

@sun What seems to be the bottleneck?
My uneducated guess is that it's just bad DB design because I never saw a DB bottleneck with Mastodon.
What I usually saw was just requests not getting fulfilled fast enough because Ruby is slow and that was always solved by more processes and more CPU and RAM. SPW is on a dedi right?

>Pleroma gets crippled by simply getting accessed too much

Pleroma does what Mastodont

I wonder how many criticisms of "capitalism" would go away if the Ford v Dodge ruling was repealed.

>mfw binary format uses 2 slightly different string encodings
