Gas Giant planets can have floating islands or even continents in them, kind of like the main setting of Skies of Arcadia.

Another idea I had (which was already used in the Disney movie, Treasure Planet) is to have wooden ships flying between planets and stars. If certain alien species are capable of magic, then they can achieve low-tech space travel.

I have a lot of ideas when it comes to worldbuilding. I have always been a fan of science fantasy (combining both tropes from sci-fi and fantasy), but I feel like most works haven't embraced both genres to their fullest potential. The original Phantasy Star series is probably the closest because they weren't afraid to actually call magic "magic" instead of "the force" like in Star Wars.

I plan on using these ideas for my dream game (or series), but I'm posting these worldbuilding concepts anyway just in case I never get to creating the game, and I just don't care if other people use these ideas. They most likely have already been done before (in fact I know some of these ideas have been done before). I'm using AI to generate these concepts because I suck at drawing.

Anyway let's begin. First off, I think alien worlds should combine both ancient technology, futuristic technology, and everything in between. Technological progress isn't a linear path, so you shouldn't assume that aliens go through the same technological progression as we do. They might be flying interstellar ships, but they might also still be wielding swords and bows. So you can have spaceships flying over medieval style villages or even mudhuts. Star Wars has basically already popularized this, so this should be a no-brainer, but you can always take it a step further. For example, replace lightsabers with steel swords while still having space travel.

So it turns out that Mother 3 did get released outside of Japan, just only in Hong Kong and Taiwan on NSO.

There is absolutely ZERO reason to put something as simple as a >5 sec sound sample under the CC-BY-NC or any other non-commercial license. If you really hate the idea of someone profiting off of your precious audio clip, then maybe you shouldn't be releasing them in the first place.

>b-but just ask them they might negotiate a deal where they can get a cut

If they truly want that, then they should say so in the description, and give out contact information, but most of the time, they don't, and it's not worth paying just to be able to use a short audio clip for a commercial project. It took you five seconds to make those samples there wasn't that much effort put into them.

If you want to make money creating stock assets, start a Patreon or something like that. All non-commercial license do is limit potential users of your assets, especially if they are small.

Replaced some of the copyrighted placeholder sound effects for items with stock sound effects. It's really hard to find any good ones, and these are the best I could find. The heart sound is a bubble sound effect because that's the closest thing I could find. The hearts in the Zelda games always made what sounds like bubbles or liquid, so I guess it fits.

One of the bosses (the one that you are supposed to bomb) now has an original sprite. Previously, it was just a large version of the blue, darknut-like sprite which changed to yellow when bombed. Instead I made it a skeleton with armor and the armor disappears after being bombed, but reappears after being stabbed.

Eric S Raymond, one of the co-founders of the open-source movement, made a tweet a few days ago saying that you can still be a right-libertarian (including a full-blown ancap) while also being against the mass hiring of H1B immigrants. He noticed how bad it was getting back when he was in his 20s and 30s, and it is even worse today. He actually emphasizes with the young tech graduates, despite being a boomer. He also states that there is more to right-libertarianism than just the monetary aspect.

I generally agree with him on this. Honestly, I would argue that conservatives (especially neocons) are bigger corporate boot-lickers than right-libertarians ever claim to be. They are the ones who defend companies that benefit from the state (especially the military industrial complex), don't care that their politicians have been bought out by billionaires, and defend policies that hurt smaller businesses like "intellectual property" laws. I also hear them worship the GDP more than right-libertarians (including ancaps) who really just care more about personal and economic freedom more than anything.

Of course, the argument comes, "how do you deal with the problem without state intervention?" And I wish ESR would elaborate on this. I think the important thing to note is that even if a company decided that they would probably get more respect (and by proxy, customers) by advertising that they don't hire H1Bs or immigrants in general, they can't. They CAN refuse to hire H1Bs, but they legally cannot make discriminatory claims in job postings like saying "US Citizens Only". This is what makes boycotts and finding companies that don't prefer 80% H1B workers difficult in this situation. So yeah, the state makes it hard to support companies that actually want to hire (White) American workers.

I never thought I would ever see a libertarian party parody the fourteen words.

There is finally boss music. It was hard to find a good track because I don't want anything too epic as I might use that for a better game.

Ending and credits now have a background too. I was inspired by early fantasy RPGs like Final Fantasy 1-7 and the first two Ys games which featured a space background, despite none of those games (except FF4) taking place in space.

Space backgrounds are often associated with deep philosophical thought or the meaning of existence. Or maybe the protagonist is transferred to another world after starring into the mirror. I don't know. I just felt like the ending and credits screen needs a background too.

In the eyes of an extreme freetard, playing an old DOS or NES game is no different than using Windows 11, Discord, or Google Chrome.

I can't tell what's worse, people still insisting on using Windows or macOS despite them becoming even more locked-down than ever or the freetards who insist on using only FSF-approved GNU+Linux distros that can only run on 2011 Thinkpads.

Don't listen to these idiots. Even using a shitty distro with SystemD such as Linux Mint or Pop_OS is 1000x better than putting up with the bullshit that Microsoft and Apple are giving you and will give you in the future. Despite most GNU+Linux distros coming with some proprietary software, I have yet to encounter a single distro that requires you to link your installation with some online account, unless you count ChromeOS, Android (which is only Linux, not GNU), and SteamOS. I would say that you should stay away from those distros and maybe stay away from anything RedHat or vanilla Ubuntu, and that you should install Librewolf after installing your distro as most distros still bundle vanilla Firefox as the default browser, but other than that, you should be fine.

And look, I would love to see the day where nobody has to rely on proprietary software anymore, but we are just not there yet. I still like to remain optimistic, despite all the blackpills, but you need to be pragmatic about this. Sometimes, you do have to work within the system before you can fully replace it.
