@coolboymew It's really depressing to see all these companies, websites, celebrities, etc going woke because of the events going on the past few months and people thinking that these new censorship and "political correctness" policies are really going to change things. Like they really think that these cops were somehow radicalized by "toxic" gamer and internet culture.

@nerdman @matrix Police forces were actually mostly privatized up to the industrial revolution. I don't get why minarchists think that government police is required when it is a more recent invention. As an ancap, I really do believe that most people would have a basic grasp of the NAP and would know that if they aggressed on someone, the victim can aggressed them back or use private security to do that.

@ArdanianRight @matrix @dielan That's because so many cities make their income off of fining and arresting people because their budget is out of wack. A nearby town of mine has really low speed limits and cops hiding behind the trees because it's the only way their council can make money.

@nerdman @matrix That image is a meme. I 100% agree that private security would be more efficient than police. I think stores like Wal-Mart or Best Buy can benefit from having private security guards on the premise over relying on the city police.

@judgedread Such a dick move. I was always skeptical of Gab and I was proven right. Hopefully, some Gab users moved to other instances.

@neomuttt3 @Orakel @Simpadoo @judgedread This. We can save Gen Z (and subsequent generations) and potentially knock one of the major tech giants without replacing it with a centralized entity. We just need to get the right people to jump ship or at least branch out.

@judgedread I would, but I don't use Twitter, YouTube comments, etc and he apparently doesn't have a publicly available email address or contact form anywhere. He is on Gab, so he is technically already on the Fediverse, but it seems like most Gab users aren't aware that they are Federated and it would be nice if he would stop promoting honeypots like Gab and Parler.

@judgedread @Orakel @Simpadoo @neomuttt3 I think the "boomers" are a lost cause but the younger right-wingers might be open to the Fediverse. We really need to get people like Styxhexenhammer on. Just don't show them any Mastodon instances otherwise the will get the wrong idea.

I feel like the Columbine shooting also affected our society too a lesser extent. It's only going to get worse as long as these tragedies keep on causing fear to the masses. Yet, most people don't realize this.

@deadheat @Moon @noyoushutthefuckupdad @shadowferret I feel that people born in the 90s are also lucky. Some don't remember life before 9/11 but do remember life before smartphones and social media becoming mainstream. The ones who are truly fucked are those born after around 2001-2004.
