In this moment, I am euphoric. Not because of any phony non-open source OS. But because, I am enlightened by Linux

@matrix Looks like they invited their Muslim friends to the party.

@feral_apothecary Yet people don't realize that they can fight this by selling their own produce.

@1iceloops123 @coolboymew I heard that people are compiling the ROMs with varying degrees of success. I can imagine Nintendo writing their own compilers/assemblers during the NES, SNES, and GB eras. I remember seeing footage from Nintendo's offices back in the 80s. Apparently, they had IDEs running on Famicoms.

@Feddylain @coolboymew @ooignignoktoo They had actual poutine for one week at my college's cafeteria, but they never had it again. There is also a local fast food chain that sold it for a limited time. I think it's slowly becoming popular in the states, but I don't know why. I think people are trying other ways to eat fries besides dipping them in ketchup.

@coolboymew There's a huge ton of unrelease GB/GBC stuff. There's even source code for the Work Boy which was some OS for the GameBoy that turned it into a PDA of some sorts. It even had a keyboard.

@coolboymew I always wanted to make actual poutine, but it is apparently extremely difficult to find cheese curds in the US. I always substitute with chunks or mozzarella.

re: Linux Retro gaming via Wine

@coolboymew When you said that VB3 programs should be reversed engineered perfectly you were probably confusing it with .NET programs. AFAIK VB3 programs compile to native code.

Linux Retro gaming via Wine

@coolboymew
>I'm not a programmer, so this isn't quite for me. It seems that VB3 exes should be able to be reversed engineered perfectly
You are probably thinking about VB.NET (now confusingly known as Visual Basic) which is a completely different programming language and runs on the .NET VM which makes it easy to reverse engineer. The actual Visual Basic programming language has been discontinued for years.
