Agorist.Market has a catalog of businesses that accept alternate currencies. Most of them are local and in the US though. If you do find a business accepting alternate currencies, tell them to get their business on there.
In the meantime, you can trade directly with your neighbors (things like produce or services like mowing lawns) using alternative currencies like precious metals or just simple bartering.

@xianc78 99% of the cryptocurrencies are a scam, mostly because there's almost always either a corporation, or a personality, or a government, or some other centralized dev team behind it.
Then there's bullshit like dev taxes, ridiculously high transaction fees, network being centralized (because they're just too much of a hassle to set up and/or requires ASIC), smart contracts, or something else.
That's why Monero is perhaps the only crypto that's not a scam.
Maybe Haven could potentially be good too, but I haven't looked into it too much yet.
