>US 38 mass shootings in the first 3 weeks of 2023
This is clearly planned a numeric ritual. 38 is a number associated with death.
#UFOI article is out now. I discuss why it’s better than #Fediblock #Fediblockmeta, my ideal solution for the #Fediblock, and how the #UFOI approaches these issues, with a nice word from @freemo addressing my most serious concern with the project.
I hope y’all find it interesting, if nothing else. Been wanting to release it for awhile now.
@alex All web frameworks are cancer.
@beardalaxy I don't know how much time I will be able to work on gamedev either. I plan on dedicating weekends to it, assuming that work doesn't burn me out and I don't do that much overtime.
@coolboymew @noyoushutthefuckupdad And you statist will never believe that (s)elections are all rigged to begin with.
@beardalaxy You can always use scrapped ideas for future games, especially if you write re-usable code. If you look at cut content from old games you can see that a lot of it was used in later games.
@pawlicker A lot of normies are aware of it, they just think it's some weird hacker OS.
I remember hearing about it as a kid. I think it was mentioned in a PC game. It was one of those where both the Windows and Mac binaries were on the same disc, but it had a Linux binary as well. Despite that, it was always that mythical OS that nobody I knew uses. I didn't see it in action until my older brother tried a Ubuntu Live USB around 2010.
@beardalaxy The finished product will always look incomplete to you. Just accept that. Miyamoto's favorite Mario game is Super Mario World and he felt like the game was incomplete.
@djsumdog @Zerglingman @william @Corfiot
He even banned his unvaxxed nephew to his Thanksgiving Dinner.
I never really cared about him. He always seemed like some shill for Microsoft, Nvidia, or whatever. He did make videos on Linux and alternatives to programs like Discord but I remember in those videos he mostly showed how "inferior" they were.
@matana obviously you have to do things in moderation and not hover over them and take away all of their privacy because they still deserve some too. But education first and foremost is good. For my kids it'll probably be something like using KeePass so I have access to their passwords, requiring a password to get on the computer that's in the living room, and not giving them a smartphone at age 12 that they can do whatever the fuck on. Will they get around blocks and use stuff at their friends houses? Yeah, probably, but that's what proper education is for, including internet privacy and security :)
@ThatMushroom @hachi @JeffTheJoker @Matty @KarlDahl I can't believe you are feeding the most obvious and low-effort troll on the fedi.
