https://twitter.com/RokoMijic/status/1645486054474956800 This is actually one of the better AI apocalypse scenarios, as widespread internet outages and crashes due to runaway AI hacker farms could be disruptive enough to society to threaten Clown World and set back societal degeneration and runaway technology enough to get a handle on things while not being enough to totally destroy modern civilization and being something you could reasonably survive via prepping. While there are many different variants of AI fucking shit up, some you could prep for and many you can't, I think there's more than enough signs on many levels to make you want to have your bases covered for shit generically going down.

In an ancap society, your neighbors are free to voluntarily choose to form socialist or communist societies. In a socialist or ancom society, your neighbors are not allowed to voluntarily choose to engage in capitalism. This is why ancaps are real anarchists, and ancoms are not.

I actually was going to mention that but forgot about it. I'd rather support companies like System76 since they have done things like (partially) mitigate the Intel ME. I'm also hoping for more RISC-V hardware to become available.
