Tariffs, like oil prices, may have relevant implications on numerous trade factors, but they do not cause price inflation. Will the Fed blame tariffs like it blamed covid for price inflation? | @dlacalle_ia

@Mr_NutterButter Pay toilets stopped being common in the US after feminists complained about it. Apparently, even back when pay-toilets were (somewhat) common, urinals were still free, probably because you couldn't block access with a door, unlike a stall. But if that's the case, then just block entrance to the entire restroom until someone pays.

@kerosene If it means less public restroom closures due to vandalism, I'm all for it.

I have ideas for power sources that these civilizations might use. There could be a fruit that is very electric. You know how some people make lemon batteries? Why not have a fruit that can actually be used as a practical power source and have these aliens farm them?
Or maybe free energy could exist in this universe. Many people believe that the Pyramids of Giza were actually ancient powerplants that tapped into energy from the ionosphere or the electric current flowing between celestial bodies (if the electric universe theory is to be believed). We can have alien civilizations using such technology. It fits perfectly with the combination of low and high-tech that this science fantasy universe provides.
@beardalaxy I also wonder if this game even meets itch standards, and I don't mean about their content guidelines. It feels like this game could've been on YoYoGames if it was made in GameMaker back in the late 2000s.
@beardalaxy Charging people for the original copy while allowing people to redistribute it guarantees that at least some people will pay for it.
@beardalaxy I was actually hoping to release it commercially. It would be extremely dirt cheap like a dollar, but the game being open-source means that you could get it for free elsewhere. But I don't know if the game is even worth a dollar, even if paying is optional.
@beardalaxy I just don't feel like my game programming skills have improved at all since high school. I mean, I learned design patterns among other things during college, but I feel like I should be making my dream game now.
@Rocket I clicked the SuperBowl hashtag since it was trending. It was mostly the "Mastodon side" posting "Superb Owl" posts. Given that it is that side doing it, I was wondering if it was out of hate for Elon Musk.
I just need to accept that the game I'm currently working on will be heavily flawed. There will be balancing issues. People will most likely find exploits. I may have been programming games for over a decade, but I never had the time to actually work on something this big and be close to finishing it.
