>I wouldn't be surprised if another mainline Zelda is coming soon.
I thought it's been confirmed that Monolith Soft is working on the next one.
>Fox was in the Mario Galaxy movie too.
Or it could be just to create hype for the movie itself because who doesn't like a good crossover.
The reason why I am so critical about the Star Fox 64 and Ocarina of Time remakes on the Switch 2 is because I feel like N64 nostalgia hit it's peak almost a decade ago (just from people talking about it on YT among other places). It feels like Nintendo is jumping in on the bandwagon way too late, and they already done it once on the 3DS anyway.
It seems like more people are nostalgic for the GameCube, GBA, Wii, and DS right now. As much as people don't want to admit it, it's true. The GC and Wii Zelda's have already been ported to recent consoles, and I don't see them remaking Minish Cap as Capcom was also involved, but maybe it's an opportunity to remake Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks and make them less shit.
[2/2] also prohibit reporters from using anonymous accounts to follow what others are posting or enable sources to contact them.
"Age verification" requirements threaten to identify whistleblowers. They generally require that all users of a site prove their identities, or present video selfies which governments could use to identify them. Any attempt by a whistleblower to contact a reporter through a site that does age verification is likely to enable tyrannical rulers to identify per and crush per. This will
Far from protecting children, Illinois’ HB 5511 will effectively dismantle online anonymity, jeopardize data security, and severely restrict access to constitutionally protected speech for young people and adults alike. https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2026/06/eff-gov-pritzker-veto-illinois-hb-5511
@gabriel @silverpill Well even then, you still need some sort of way to make digital payments for the purposes I've mentioned. Some people would rather use it in a decentralized and (somewhat) anonymous manner.
@gabriel @silverpill
>or normalize digital currenecy
I never understood this sentiment because I never hear anyone claiming that Bitcoin (or any other cryptocurrency) should replace cash. I always saw cryptocurrencies as a decentralized alternative to payment processors like PayPal and nothing more. That's what got me excited about it when I first heard about it back in 2013-2014. I always felt that we need a way to make decentralized payments over the Internet for things like donating to FOSS projects, renting VPSes, etc. You can't really do that with cash or barter, but that doesn't mean that digital currencies should replace those things.
@beardalaxy I would like to see games distributed via flash drives. There was some LootCrate-like service that gave you an indie game on a flash drive every month but they have long since been shutdown.
I also want to see cereal box games to make a comeback. It would be a great way to get people to try new games.
@beardalaxy @lina @PurpCat It seems like both missions were made to be shocking as possible in order to create a Streisand effect.
