@coolboymew They also leave out that the fictional politics in games are often left to interpretation by the player or sometimes left as in-game choices.

@coolboymew I use MonoGame which isn't really an engine, but more of a multimedia software framework for C#. If I did 3D stuff, I would probably use an engine or mod an existing game, but since I'm only working with 2D, it isn't that much of a problem.

@coolboymew I keep on seeing how much faster and easier if I use engines like this, but I always stick to programming.

@coolboymew I always wonder why Nintendo goes after fangames made solely out of love when people are literally selling ROM hacks on ebay and Nintendo doesn't seem to care.

@coolboymew This is why I think forums should limit political discussion to a "News and Politics" subforum or the off-topic sub. That way if it does devolved into a political echo chamber, if it is contained to one board.

@sjw@neckbeard.xyz I wonder what these sites are going to do when Flash finally dies a few months from now. Hell, there are even some sites out there that still have Java applets and that has been obsolete for years now.

Literally, the only thing I can think of that would be worse is to have the @ symbol from virtually every ASCII roguelike as a playable fighter.
