@coolboymew @abloo Do you have GeekSquad or anything similar in your area? I would just leave it to them.
@coolboymew Tablets are useless pieces of shit. Just oversized PDAs used to distract toddlers and have clients use to sign in at offices. Handheld gaming PCs or subnotebooks are probably a better option if you want something more portable than a laptop.
@matrix @orekix I mostly blame the demise of AA game studios. They're the ones who actually innovate and had passion in the medium, but game publishers screwed them over. AAA game studios on the other hand only care about casual multiplayer garbage or interactive movies. Indies are the closest you can get with AA studios but they cannot compare to the production value that AA studios have.
@TheMadPirate @rasterman @coolboymew You'd be surprise to see how many shoplifters get busted because they brag about it on sites like Facebook.
@coolboymew Ugh, and I'm more of a software person than a hardware person. I only soldered once in my entire life and that was something WAY simpler than this. I was expecting this to be a simple Linux-based device, but it seems like Nintendo learned from their mistake with the NES and SNES Classic.
@coolboymew I actually meant for stuff like NES, SMS, and GB/GBC games. I'm also hoping for custom clock software so there can be alternate themes instead of the Mario ones.
@coolboymew I'm thinking about getting it since it has already been hacked. Nobody has loaded alternate ROMs on it yet, but it would be the perfect emulation device for me.
