@coolboymew The manual for the first game has a backstory and it is written as a re-telling of Adol's journals.

isu.fandom.com/wiki/Ys_1_Backs

@coolboymew The stories in the Ys games are just in-universe retellings of what Adol wrote in his journals, published by some unknown writer centuries after his death. In other words, they are supposed to be in-universe history books.

I'm wondering if this book is written like that.

This is what happens when the Dinklebergs create DEI ponzi schemes and use staples of your childhood as a vehicle for cultural subversion.

@djsumdog @iska There is a GitHub repository explaining the drama.

Also, sponsorships in general seem to be controversial in the FOSS community because unlike regular donations, strings can be attached and they can change the direction of the project if the project is relying on said sponsorships. What makes Anduril unique is that their technology is used to enforce the US-Mexico border, so naturally you are going to have some open-borders leftists screeching about it.

I think more game studios (namely those who produce freeware and FOSS games) should be funded via crowd-tipping sites like Patreon or Liberapay. That way, they can receive a regular income while giving there games away for free. It seems like a better way to do the donationware model than just one-time donations. It might even be better than relying on game purchases, depending how often people buy your games.

@KryptoBlok @deprecated_ii I should've explained this to my mom when she thought that the website project I had in mind was unethical.

In case you are wondering, it would be a repository of free-to-use reference voices for AI voice cloning software. I haven't found any site that offers them and just using any voice leads to legal issues (personality rights laws). I thought of a site where people can upload a sample voice clip of themselves so it can be used in any project.

@deprecated_ii Years back I found some people who came up with a decent solution to this issue. The called it "technostism"/"technism", or "Vyrdism". Of course it has been forgotten thanks to multiple factors, which is a shame because it seems like the most realistic solution to the automation issues we're dealing with now.

In a nutshell, people should group up and invest in the AI companies as a sort of free market alternative to UBI, and use the infinitely-increasing profits to buy their own robots, printers, etc. to become self-sufficient. I remember IvantheHeathen on youtube came up with a similar solution involving crypto or something instead of actual stocks.

(I would also recommend abolishing state-enforce unemployment - i.e. "minimum wage".)

All video games should delete your save file upon dying. Otherwise, how can it be called a game when there is no losing condition.

@Polfusilier
>Do you have any evidence for that?

wikispooks.com/wiki/Document:T

>How does the fact that not every factory in Germany was destroyed prove Hitler was funded by another party?

Most of the intact ones were owned by major US corporations.

@Polfusilier You also have the Milner Group funding both Germany and Russia as a divide and conquer strategy. This was years before Hitler's rise and they said that they needed a tyrant to rise and fail in Germany for this plan to work.

>Which ones?
General Electric, for example. One of them was completely intact after the saturation bombing in Germany, along with the General Ford plant in Cologne.

@Polfusilier The Rothschilds. In fact, he was a Rothschild. Alois Hitler was the illegitimate son of Maria Anna Schicklgruber who got pregnant while being employed as a servant in the home of Baron Rothschild.

The Rockerfeller's were also involved. Their synthetic oil was the oil that powered all of their military vehicles.

Also, the factories of American corporations were not bombed during the saturation bombing of Germany.

@Polfusilier There was only one person on there and Corbett does his research along with citing his sources. He openly exposes how these conspiracies aren't theories, but are actually openly talked about.

@Polfusilier They funded both.

I'd argue that there has been no war that happened organically for almost the past few centuries.

corbettreport.com/who-funded-h

@Polfusilier Even without that letter, there is plenty of evidence that the world wars were all planned. There was the round-table meeting that set-up World War I before it happened, and there is the fact that the Nazis were funded by central bankers.

corbettreport.com/who-funded-h

@Polfusilier Both WWI and WWII were both planned with WWII ending with the creation of the "two-state solution", which was meant to create tensions between the Jewish and Arab people to the point that a third world war will start and economically drain all nations in the world. From that, a New World Order will emerge.

This was all written in a masonic letter back in 1871, and it accurately predicted both WWI and WWII.
