George Bush was evil.

No one reads the above statement as saying that Osama bin Laden is good.

So why do people read "Winston Churchill was evil" as an endorsement of Hitler?

The funniest part is that the Sega Mega Drive / Genesis is indeed getting more exclusives in the 2020s than the PS5 xD

This debate is gay meanwhile Mexicos congress got raided j6 style and people are attacking government officials

@Mr_NutterButter Maybe it's the events that happened over the past few years that made a lot of people, especially young people feel hopeless, but even before then it feels like a lot of people were falling for existential nihilist propaganda, and to get into conspiracy theory territory, I feel like it was intentional. It prevents people from making their lives, their communities, and the world better, and it also lowers birthrates (anti-natalism) and in extreme cases, lead to suicides (depopulation).

The solution? I think it's to live a life full of experiences and have that define you as opposed to valuing material possessions and obsessing over current events. I've talked about this recently. There are still festivals, gatherings, and other events. Go to them instead of complaining that modern society offers nothings but Funko Pops and Marvel movies.

There's more to it. Find some hobbies and I mean productive hobbies. Learn to make things. Find a hobby that requires you to leave your home.

I don't have all the answers, but people really need to get out of their comfort zone.

Yesterday, the North Carolina Senate overrode Governor Roy Cooper’s veto and gave final approval to a bill that will take a the first steps toward limiting the impact of any potential future central bank digital currency (CBDC) in the state.

The new law prohibits any state governmental agency from accepting a payment using central bank digital currency. It also bars all state governmental agencies from participating in any test of central bank digital currency.

_United Nations legal officer is caught on camera stating the UN’s ambition to become a world government_

A "one-world government" would ba single point of failure, and VERY high-value target of corruption. It's analogous to a retirement account that holds only ONE asset. The greater the diversification (the separation and independence of powers,) the better.

FTA: At the end of last month, an associate legal officer in the UN Treaty Section was caught on hidden camera admitting that the United Nations (“UN”) has ambitions to be a one-world government with its own military power.

In two weeks, the UN is hoping 193 countries will adopt the Pact for the Future, originating from the UN Secretary General’s ‘Our Common Future’. Our Common Future is António Guterres’ vision to “strengthen global governance for present and future generations.”

They did it! They outdid the PS3 launch!

@beardalaxy Pretty much. The PS2 having DVD support was what made so many people wait for it. Sega couldn't make a deal with the DVD Forum and went with their own proprietary CD-based format known as GD-ROM (Gigabyte Disc ROM) instead. GD-ROMs were just basically CDs but with the microscopic pits more tightly compact so they can store a gigabyte of data. DVDs on the other hand, can store 8GBs. Sega talked about having a DVD player add-on but that never came into fruition.

Sega also had another CD-based format for the Dreamcast called MIL-CDs. They were basically music CDs that also included software (things like karaoke or music videos) that could run on a Sega Dreamcast. MIL-CDs never had copy protection. Because of that, people realize that they can burn Dreamcast games as MIL-CDs and run them on a Dreamcast without any modifications. Sega did correct this with a hardware revision, but it was already too late. Though the MIL-CD exploit was what allowed the Dreamcast to have a vibrant homebrew community.

Though honestly, the Saturn pretty much killed Sega as a hardware manufacturer more than the Dreamcast. If Sega still had a little bit more money, the Dreamcast could be on par with the GameCube in terms of sales.

Also, Sega never had a console that was a worldwide success. The Master System did well in Europe and South America, but failed in the US and Japan. The Genesis/Mega Drive did well in North America, South America, and Europe, but failed in Japan. The Saturn did well in Japan, but failed everywhere else. It made sense for them to go third-party.

@beardalaxy It was actually doing pretty well in the US, until the PS2 was announced.
