@Witch_Hunter_Siegfired @PurpCat @arc @Mr_NutterButter I mean, I do agree that space colonization is much harder than proponents make it out to be. I'm not saying that it is impossible, but if it does happen, it's not going to be like the movies, and life for the colonists will probably be a living hell at least until the colonies become self-sustainable.

I just don't get why it's such a divisive issue. Regardless on whether or not you have faith in it, I don't see why you should stop people from at least trying.
